Try zero carb breaky when fbs higher than desired. Eggs a good option if you like them. Not sure what is going on with my liver it's playing fast and loose with my blood sugar lol . 4.4 before bed then 6.1 this morning with a rise when retested an hr later ( no food ) to 6.7 . Then after a lower carb breakfast then usual it jumped up to 9.4 !
The flange sounds like a very nasty illness indeed!According to Bert, the leading bin man and curator of the quantum flux generator, the blurring is due to a displacement in the plastic particles as a result of over-cooking the flange. It's enough to cause a 24-hour shift in bin man morphing.
@HarryBeau have you checked the wheels haven't come loose? That can cause a Friday
Throw in a little heal click, perfectNo doubt singing get me to the church on time whilst doing the above.
Clear evidence that the International Bin Day (Wednesday) operates at a quantum levelI do love a good bin day post. Never cease to make me smile. BTW its Monday not Tuesday Thursday or Friday.
Morning all. Another dismal 5.7 for me which once again follows a day in the 4s and an fbg of 4.6. 16 gms carb and sub 1400 cals (73% fat, 11% carbs, 16% protein) yesterday. Hope the exercise bike, shower and tea make me a more sociable soul.
Thanks for the concern @DJC3. Best HIIT session on the bike for months (6 sprints @ max hr - not silly enough to do full 8 yet) and shower (remote control showers top of list for upgrading when we move) , resting pulse back at 60 (needs to drop but on the way) - I function best when I push myself. I am not sitting around waiting for cancer, diabetes or time to eat me away - far too much of my grandfather and father in me (except I can't speak Mandarin and will use power tools) which has really come through since retiring. People always said that but I never recognised it before. Really do appreciate the sentiment but ......You body is battling with a lot of things at the moment Ian, it’s not likely to respond in the same way. Please cut yourself some slack.
I'm with you @OldButBold I feel I'm in the same boat like you very low carbs and still my Dracula throws large numbers at me. Like @ianpspurs I strive to win the numbers never seem good enough for the effort put in. Also I am even lighter at 71 Kilo and I really can't snack anymore and maybe trying to maintain weight and keep BG down just isn't compatible.I'm beginning to believe that low carb does not suit me, 6.7 this morning after less than 15g carb yesterday. Oh well, I shall go for a walk and have breakfast at the cafe, enjoy the day that is Friday
Ouch! Not good news for me fitting my own, not from IKEA though, but still a bit worrying especially as I did my own measuring and am not the worlds best DIY person. I await my ordeal with trepidation.Morning all from a wet and windy North, IKEA gate last night, the wardrobe fitter refused to put three shelves in, as they are damaged just go and exchange them along with the lights (wrong ones and too small) simple he said. Not so simple said IKEA, over an hour to exchange some items, wrong ones brought out, lots of explanations as to what was wrong with them. Even asked if we would just go "and pick them yourselves", at this point dear reader I hid behind anything I could find! I knew from bitter experience what was about to land on the poor, unsuspecting, innocent person behind the counter, I felt sorry for them I truly did, I should have stood in solidarity with them. "If I wanted to traipse round the shop looking bewildered and lost, I wouldn't have paid for it to be picked for me so, if you wouldn't mind, could you do as I've already paid for and have them brought out, as I've already lost the will to live" or words to that effect, at this point I wandered off to have something to eat. At least we got what we wanted (hot dog, meatballs and a drink) anyway the meter of doom threw a 5 at me after fitting my own shelves, putting all the furniture and bed back in. It's only bloomin FRIDAY!! I'm going to go out and drink all weekend, not come home until Sunday with a lost phone, glasses and my clothes all ripped! or in reality, take the dogs out, clean and go shopping. oh to be a yoof again.
have a nice weekend and take care.
I really do believe this is entirely an n=1 experiment - seems to take people below 5.6 fbg <50% of the time from posts on here. 71 kgs seems low. My lowest has been 72.6 - I'm 6' how tall are you?I'm with you @OldButBold I feel I'm in the same boat like you very low carbs and still my Dracula throws large numbers at me. Like @ianpspurs I strive to win the numbers never seem good enough for the effort put in. Also I am even lighter at 71 Kilo and I really can't snack anymore and maybe trying to maintain weight and keep BG down just isn't compatible.
Still on the positive side hills are a lot easier on my Mountain Bike.
