Morning all. 5.0 for me after having only a crusted cheese omelette to eat yesterday.
Went to see The Good Liar at the cinema (Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen ) quite enjoyable, both fine actors. All tickets £5 on Mondays so we’ll worth it.
@gennepher I am also swigging back the coffee trying to keep out the cold and steeling myself to take Dennis out for his morning constitutional. It’s still raining hard.
Bitterly cold high winds here @DJC3 , as well as the wet stuff...get both of you warm as quickly as you can when you get back...
Poor Dennis I don't blame him.The struggle will be getting him out in the first place Gennepher
@DJC3 I am afraid our doggies missed their walk yesterday morning because of the torrential rain - so Dennis is lucky that you take him out in the rain, even though he probably doesn't think he is.The struggle will be getting him out in the first place Gennepher - he hates the rain which is unfortunate as it rains ever such a lot in Cornwall. I usually have to carry him 50 yds up the lane then plonk him down. Just as well he’s not a big dog! Hope you manage to stay warm and cosy today.
I couldn't agree more with both of your comments.Morning...a super sleep only spoilt by Nigel Farage on BBC Breakfast news yuk!...freezing this morning I seem to feel the cold more acutely nowadays so the heating has to go on now.
I've started walking again jjraak nothing like as much as I used to...my usual would be 4-5 miles daily now it's probably down to roughly a mile every other day...dodgy knee is much worse and so painful in the cold but even the mile or so is helping particularly psychologically...I feel as if I am making some effortBut I've been doing a lot more walking
I find Farage so objectionable Krystyna and the news footage of Boris mopping up some of the flood water in south Yorkshire enraged me...it's taken them (Govt.) 3/4 days to declare the flood a national emergency wonder what they'd do if the floodwaters hit London & the south.I couldn't agree more with both of your comments.
There seems to be little to distinguish between Farage Johnson & Trump PM...like some sort of unholy trinity...irrespective of politics it's amazing how those three politicians ( I use the term loosely) have the main floor on the world stage...who would have thought?I would love to know what Nigel got from Boris, most probably no deal guarantee since he seems completely uninterested in his own deal
All I can say I say thank goodness I detest Baileys, sounds like it could spoil good Cauliflower IMO.I think cauliflower baileys is likely to be cauliflower, baileys.
Between a rock and a hard place in much of the worlds politics but more worrying is that two main British Parties are either going to far to the left or to the right, what happened to the middle of the road Labour or Conservative politicians? Stormy times ahead I fear. There seems to be little to distinguish between Farage Johnson & Trump PM...like some sort of unholy trinity...irrespective of politics it's amazing how those three politicians ( I use the term loosely) have the main floor on the world stage...who would have thought?
I think the rape seed oil/vegetable oil idea is covered hereAll I can say I say thank goodness I detest Baileys, sounds like it could spoil good Cauliflower IMO.
What @Debandez mentioned Doc Unwin advised against Oils in spreads got me searching. I never use spreads so that's not a problem, we cook with Olive Oil mostly and Rapeseed Oil for stir frying veg, never deep fry anything. I am trying to establish why not to use Rapeseed Oil. Other than the awful fields of the plant I find much conflicting good/bad reports, can anyone throw any light on why it's bad for diabetics?
