hahaha a chefs hat..I use a variety of different BUFFs under helmet and around my neck when out on my Mountain Bike, I love the many different ways you can tie them, today was the balaclava method but I still had one around my neck to fight Jack Frost.
I have also now taken to wearing them under my Flat Caps and Fedora hats, warm but also keep the hats clean and free from those horrid grease stains. You could wear a BUFF like a chefs hat when doing your new found pastime of cooking, cool man.
@SaskiaKC we are now rehearsing many Christmas Recorder quartet and quintet pieces. I love the quintet music for 2 trebles, tenor and 2 Bass Recorders a very different sound, we have 5 recorder gigs before Christmas Day, alongside choir and folk group ones so busy, busy. This weekend we are doing a 2 hour performance which will include many of the famous Sheffield Carols, great fun to sing.
After yesterday's furniture moving for MIL carpet fitting, have slowly developed worse and worse sciatica pain. This mornings bike ride helped but I'm now having to do lots of stretching exercises grrrrrrrr! Gigs will be interesting if it does not mend quick.
@Debandez thank you for the kitty video. I love how the tabby slept on even with the ginger-white practically sitting on his head -- also the rooster? in the background not even waking him up!
Happy birthday to Eric, and Congratulations on your checkup. I wish my LDL would do that on LCHF -- I've said I wanted to try it again between now and my next A1C appointment, and today I plan to start off as low-carb as I can.
I love the Advent calendar -- especially the ginger kitty sleeping on top of the TV. ^. .^
@dunelm Happy Birthday and welcome to the new little one. Congratulations to you and to her mother! The way I see 18 November in my head is 11/18, which when I think about it is a lovely historical and peaceful date on which to be born, peace and triumph and hope.
@PenguinMum thank you for your encouraging words.
@ianpspurs Psalm 42:5 is very appropriate for me to keep in mind after yesterday. Some days I go out for my own good, then come home thinking I'd have been better off just staying in here.
@gennepher Yes, I think the passage in the novel is a gentle nudge from above that my "trials and tribulations" are not forgotten and neither am I in the midst of them.
...
No FBG this morning as after only about 4 hours sleep it would hardly count as an F BG and after last night's late supper it would probably be high so why waste the lancet and strip? "Stay me with coffee, comfort me with sausages, for I am sick of carbs" ... or, even more appropriate -- "Stay me and comfort me with a purring KittenCat ... " ^. .^
Excellent score on the door4.8 for me have a good day everyone
5.9 this morning which is fine and dandy.
I was woken by the dawn chorus of plastic against steel, yes it is British Heritage Day, or as we like to call it... Bin Day.
I think I shall root out my thermal undercrackers as the temp seems mighty chilly for my walk.
Her ladyship made my heart flutter by presenting me with a dry air fryer for services rendered, a new toy for the old boy. Enjoy your day
Thanks my friend, a bath? Now I've not had one of those for 10 yearsouch for the sciatica
hope it helps soonest.
warm bath, cold compress then heated
plaster, all things i've used when i hurt my back.
Take care fella.
Ahhh, so that's where @OldButBold is hanging outIceland are very cruel at the moment. Right by the door are massive bargain packs of crumpets...8 for 79p. There is a bargain freezer place right next door to Iceland and there seems to be a local price war between the two of them
You will love this (hope you can see it)

Thank you, will add it to the list of contenders. It is from Lakeland. We are really pleased with it. It also steams food - although we haven't used that function yet.
Good morning @trick60 - sympathy for the cold - not a problem for me today. 5.6 for me this morning - not at the required standard. Like Poch and the current Spurs squad, for all the pampering and plaudits no trophies for a 5.6 fbg. Law of small numbers, little things mean a lot, marginal gains, the score takes care of itself. Somewhere in yesterday's journey those fractions were added. @dunelm congratulation on the safe arrival of another granddaughter ( we need to facetime a 7 year old grandson today). Fbg may be off but the bigger picture can be found in Pasal 56 v 11-12. Have a great day.
I want to try one of those OBB...will be scouring the internet for the best one at the right price.a new toy for the old boy. Enjoy your day
Are Air Fryers good for a LCHF diet? The environmentalists keep telling us our atmosphere is full of Carbs. Her ladyship made my heart flutter by presenting me with a dry air fryer for services rendered, a new toy for the old boy. Enjoy your day
Morning...a better sleep last night can't say woken & entirely refreshed but feeling a little more energised than the precious few days...shopping arriving this morning so no trawling around the supermarket thank goodness...a little paperwork to complete then feet up...okay one coffee in the heating about to go on...an air fryer to find...woke to a 6.2 relatively relieved lots of comfort food yesterday almost a lucky escape you might say.
