Sleep well on those pleasing plains. More progress on the scourge o'meter. Good man yourself.Yawn.... Morning.. Yawn.
Awake far too early earlier, just tested and I think my BG's like the open space here in McGarrett Plains, as I got a rather pleasing 5.6
No tea, just.. Yawn.. Off back ..yawn. . So sorry. to bed.. I'll leave you guys to carry on chatting

Mg/do converter
HBA1c converter
At 6.3, I think that puts you into pre diabetic zone.
Not too shabby, as you say, if I recall it's not only T2 you are trying to balance
As I understand it, @SaskiaKC
They changed the way it's presented.
So a 6.4% would be equal to 47 in UK mmol.
The part that gets hard to remember is the MMOL for HBA1c...Is NOT the same as the everyday MMOL we use for the finger pricking
I know, confusing huh.
So for THAT..Americans report it as
126 mg/dl
And in the UK, that would be 7.0 mmol
If you scroll down those links, I think it shows THOSE examples a little better.
I would also caution, that for all the disappointment, and I think we have all been there, with our own figures at some point.
Where a ***, .. And maybe even a WHY do I bother..
EVERYTHING WE DO
Had kept us at a far healthier level then if we simply went with the flow, and ate as instructed.
EVERY Day, we post in range, is a day further away from the complications that MIGHT begin to start making any inroads on our health.
And I Celebrate each of THOSE days as a Victory.
One over on the beast lurking within.
We may never beat it, but by God, we are NOT going quietly, WITHOUT a **** good fight.
Fbg 7.6
At 4 am
Why higher? It could be because I had a small tin of fruit early evening. I had double cream with it. Because I have Sjögren's my mouth and throat are always dry, and I was fed up with the gel meds and sucking sweet meds etc I have. Tinned fruit does help (the speech and language therapist told me to eat tinned fruit to help my dry mouth and throat), but doesn't help my diabetes. With hindsight I could have had half the tin or even a third....but I didn't, I had the whole small tin, and enjoyed it and I didn't have to take my dry mouth meds in the night. But I have a higher fbg reading this morning...
Note to self... one third of the tin next time.
Okay, so my painting for this morning...
I squished blue acrylic paint on the A4 paper this morning. It looked like deep sea, so I got a white gel pen and squiggled the white of the waves.
But turn the pic sideways and you have wonky giraffe necks...

Not sure about this one. And it was hard work on my eyes with the concentration. My eyes need a rest now....
Have a good Sunday...
Take care
Some hugs in the basket should you need some.
And legs. I really like that effect.I also like that it looks like tide lines on the beach.
What kind of tinned fruit do you eat? I love tinned fruit, especially fruit cocktail and peaches (can't eat it anymore).
We're back now & all A1 with Charlie & Lola they were surprised how much they'd grown...as we left the cat food at the cat centre I saw the most gorgeous long haired black cat walking in the yard we'd seen him when we collected the kittens...he wasn't available for rehoming then he was quite unwell...they told me he is going to his new home today so positive news all round. When you leave WG shelter remember to check for stowaways!
They were so well behaved in their basket...got an excellent report from the vet & obviously all that treatment they have been through meant they were quite familiar with the procedure...home now fed & they're off for a little snoozeI hope all goes well with C&L at Wood Green today, I wonder if they’ll remember the place?
