Oops!
That much would have put me up at least two points on my meter...
Was it nice ?
>^..^<
I can make an appointment with one of the other doctors gennepher...there four others although none of those have a regular appointment free until after the 17th of June...I'd prefer to see my own GP for the review then all being well could wait another six months before the next one...maybe even longer...honestly it's an uphill battle isn't it...a different locum each time how on earth can you establish a relationship of trust on that basis.
Nostalgia of times gone by was nicer than the actual taste....
I am sorry, I apologise, but you got me laughing there...
Nostalgia is a magnificent inviting beast isn’t it
6.5 on this sunny Monday morning. 24 degrees outside. I hope my Meal on Wheels gets here within the next half hour so I can get on to the opticians' before it gets hot. The forecast for the rest of the week is low to mid-30s.
I love the JennaFrog, @gennepher .
Probably like many of us best to leave such items as a beautiful memoryNostalgia of times gone by was nicer than the actual taste....
Thanks Ian. I love your outlook and take delight in your language. It is a true joy to read such wonderfully written comments.
Honestly I don’t know why i did it but it was probably a mix of frustration at the overly restricted regimen the condition demands, some of which is probably self imposed, and a nostalgia for the old days. I truly wasn’t craving the actual sweetness or creaminess that was on offer. And once into the first bite I realized how much my taste buds have changed- i just couldn’t believe how sweet the **** thing felt. Anyway it was a good reminder that whatever restrictions I have imposed on myself, i am definitely not missing something great. I will stick to better alternatives i.e 85%++ dark chocolate probably where one actually enjoys chocolate rather than just sugar and chemicals. Good day Ian
I will never eat pizza again it was only an occasional trip to PE maybe 4/5 times a year but it was special. Everything that was bad about it was everything I probably liked about it hence no “pretend” pizzas will cut it. And anyway I got about a 40 year window of opportunity so can afford to remember with fondness.Probably like many of us best to leave such items as a beautiful memory
What the imagination seizes as Beauty must be truth – whether it existed before or not
I only need to see him for a medication review gennepher...otherwise I wont be able to get another prescription.Hope it works out x
Working in London tomorrow...will meet my nieces afterwards...there's no telling what I might eat to get me through it (not the family just the work & London).I probably liked about it hence no “pretend” pizzas will cut it.
Absolutely amazing outcome. Superstar. You must be delighted as am I on your behalf.Happy Monday team
Thank you all for your well wishes. My nose is not so sore and my eye is blacker, that said my pride is well bruised (being a Leo us lions don't take kindly to bashing ourselves)
SO... Down to business Forgot to test first thing, went in the shower had brekkies (eggy bread with bacon and 3 cherries... Mmmm! Coffee and double cream) stabbed my finger watched the blood sucked up the strip and saw the screen flash up 5.8
Now today Mon 20th I start my 7th week on insulin and am off to see, for the first time, my diabetes specialist at the hospital.
I am unsure what he will think about my 30% reduction in insulin and my 50% reduction in Glicaside in 7 weeks!
I know what I think he should say.... (My daily average is 6.0) However that might differ hugely from what he actually does say.
Watch this space as 'they' say!
Have a great day Ya all
Po
UPDATE: I have just returned from my hospital appointment.
Quote from 'The diabetic specialist' after downloading my reader readings...
"In my twelve years of working in this field this is the best set of figures I have seen. I have only seen two or three other sets of readings that come anywhere close to this in all that time!"
He went on to say... "I want you to stop taking insulin with immediate effect!"
O M G!
