What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

I apologize for LOL'ing at Charlie and @jjraak's description of your Camouflage Cat
That's okay Saskia they are so naughty...I was on the phone looking out the garden windows trying to see how strong the wind is...studying how much the trees were bowing in it...I didn't realise there was an inside storm right behind me...ooh clearing it up is proving a nightmare...we've taken preventative measures not a toilet roll in sight all battened down...picking up the big pieces was a doddle but the hundreds of shredded parts was/is hard work...nearly there thank goodness.

Morning all. 5.4 fbg - not ideal but it is what it is. Sprung mattress here - removal men seemed impressed so I'm taking that as a good sign.

Team Sprung scores again! Thank you for posting about yours. So now I think the score is 5-1 in favor of the Sprungs.
I plan to go out shopping today to look at sofas and chairs and try out mattresses. Will practice rolling over on the foam models and sitting on their edges. Hopefully I will not slide off onto the floor due to lack of "edge support." I wish I could try the innerspring ones by jumping up and down on them!

Man oh Man. Winner! Winner! Winner! Want to buy you some Gin but only if its on offer.

Thanks @PenguinMum
And thanks for the silver birch compliment.
I use my rechargeable LED lamps a lot.
I hope you had a good day.

5.7 for me.
Know the feeling @trick60 re cholesterol, I am on a warning from the DN to do something about my high numbers or else @gennepher, loved your silver birches.
@jjraak, managed to avoid the land of Oz, storm wasn't too bad around here so fared quite well. Hugs to all those who suffered damage.
@SlimLizzy, sorry you had the damage but love the house.
@dunelm safe journey back to the wonderful North East.

If I have forgotten anyone else hope you all had a good day.

Keeping a watching brief re coronavirus. Good idea about the pneumonia injections @PenguinMum, may look into it.

@gennepher Your silver birches are beautiful. Is that a green stairwell going up in the background? If so I would like to climb it. I hope your roof is OK. I am assuming the wormery is part of your gardening/composting set-up?

Thanks @SaskiaKC

The background is just squished green paint, just randomly without any intention. So whatever you want to see in it, then it is there...

Yes the wormery is my garden composting set up.

seems the super spreader has been a few places..

indeed.

have called lauren to let her know.
she in turn will tell her friend.
The thing that makes me mad is when I was out in Chichester early on Saturday morning I counted about 10 people coughing and sneezing in the street and making mo effort to cover their mouths and that was during only 30 mins before it got busy.

Hugs for the stressful day but glad your mum is settled and you are now back in your own home.

Thank you @PenguinMum. I'm just grateful to have a warm, cosy home to get back to. I feel so sorry for those that do not.

@dogslife Hug for the distressing day. At least you were able to hear some good news about your mum. As you reminded me:

And we all of us need that reminder.
I am glad you made it home OK, and that your mum is fine.

Just back from the furniture store where I fell in love with the lovely paprika shade of the red sofa I posted here a few days ago. I also fell in love with the brown version -- a lovely dark coffee-colored one with a golden tone, like hot coffee. And the black rocker-recliner which fit me like a glove. And the huge blue armchair which fit me like an even roomier glove -- I think it is worthy of being called a Comfy Chair.
I refrained from jumping up and down on any of the innerspring mattresses. I did lie on one, and found it comfortable. I also thought the memory foam one was comfortable but I could not roll over on it. It doesn't give you a "push" the way springs do. It just sort of lies there.
The salesman was great, very cordial and knowledgeable and laid back, and I was reminded of back when I used to go car-shopping with my father.
I had just wanted to see and try out the real furniture I had liked online. I hope there will be a way I can buy at least one of the pieces here -- I would like for this salesman to get the credit and commission for the sale instead of some anonymous website. Especially if I can buy two pieces.
