What a beautiful post Saskia and I so agree. I am so thankful for the friendship and support of you all. It makes the tedium of Diabetes everyday and our other individual struggles so much more bearable. Kindness always wins.Ever since I joined this thread I have thought what a kind place it is, a community of such friendly people, very unlike other online "communities" I have known.
This morning I am realizing that as well as kind and friendly you are very courageous. I started to put "brave," and that is certainly appropriate; but "courageous" adds heart to bravery, and you all certainly have strong and loving hearts.
I have been reading this morning's posts and wishing I knew of a miracle salve that would ease all the pain. But what I do know is that the love that lives in the hearts and minds of you all is itself a salve, and a miracle. And I thank God for y'all.
Hello and mabe goodbye for a time folks, that should please the Pet fanatics with no sense of humour, life here is a little busy and I have to balance time, projects and time to relax away from technology.
Bloods were mid 8's this morening, I know why and I enjoyed it.
Well folks I'm only 367 posts behind and sorry I won't be catching up, but on a quick skim through @Cumberland is going through the wars, best wishes. Chin up and to use a phrase f%#* em.
I shall miss our resident artists contribution, the humour and wit, but not the daily bible bashing and pet diatribes.
I will visit when time and life permits, but I am struggling to find time to relax.
Stay well, always look on the bright side, there is a silver lining to every cloud, sometimes finding it can be difficult but it is there.
And it's good night me and me's.
Bearing in mind your backstory, relaxation is a priority for you. I need to publicly thank you for the Pms and advice/opinions you have offered me personally. Hope the break works for you and look forward to your return when it suits you.Hello and mabe goodbye for a time folks, that should please the Pet fanatics with no sense of humour, life here is a little busy and I have to balance time, projects and time to relax away from technology.

A very unusual 4.7 this morning. Sad to say that it was because I stuck to 100ml of cream.
I carefully measured 2tsps of cream in each of my coffees. No other cream was consumed. Correction: almost no other cream was consumed.
It is raining this morning - weather warning for snow. Hopefully it won't.
Well done on HbA1c and the efforts you put in. Good drop in A1c since last April and stellar weight loss. All will come good for you - no rise so carry on it's working. So HbA1c test in at 42. Same as 12 weeks ago. Still I expected it to be higher and it's stayed the same so not very disappointed. Now a huge effort towards better results for my next in May.
However for a few days I have been steering clear of carbs, was only eating 30 grams a day so now even less, eating smaller portions, no snacks, missing wine but still in the 6 numbers. Last night Stuffed red peppers and salad, Breakfast today Boiled Egg 2 black coffees, lunch cold salmon salad, BG before lunch 6.3.

Hey thats good and I am glad you are not disappointed. I think cutting out the snacks helps a lot but if you like wine then you should have some IMO. I switched from wine (used to love Pinot Noir or Ribera del Duero) and now rarely have it. But I substituted with ginSo HbA1c test in at 42. Same as 12 weeks ago.
