What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Morning All. 6.1 this morning. Very cold night, winter bedclothes might need to return but might hold off as we are away next week.
@Shas3 I too like the look of your breakfast my favourite breakfast is cooked spinach with butter, eggs poached or fried and fried mushrooms.@gennepher good heavens you have an exciting garden you should write a childrens book about Mr Kiwi or would that just be scary? @SaskiaKC love the hydrologic event warning. They have been promising me rain for my garden every day for weeks but it must have all get held up somewhere and all arrived at the same time yesterday. @ianpspurs definitely no cream thanks but I am getting obsessed with omelettes, eggs any which way but they have to be proper yolks not those sad old pale ones. I get Burford Browns from W. I wonder what number is too many in a week.
Have a great Saturday everyone. Stay well, stay safe.

No idea how many eggs is too many to eat but 60 a week is too many for us to deal with. Now we are 1 dog less that's 14 a week extra not eaten. Definitely very yellow yolks and omelettes made within 10 mins of collecting warm eggs are quite functional. I think we have your rain and my grass is growing too well really. Have a good weekend.

Morning...after yesterdays deluge relieved it's stopped for now thankfully...chores to do...sod it can't be bothered another coffee & the news which is sounding more & more like a confessional...second potential prime minister admits to taking class A drugs...who would have thought.. next please....woke to a 6.3
The rogues' gallery of potential PMs is very depressing, except for Rory Stewart. Thinking of leaving the country. I have my "gilet jaune" at the ready, in case I need to go native.

it's grey again after the nice day yesterday, I'm just making a pudding for dinner with mum's visitor later today, apple pie and ice cream for the others and choc chip sponge with (homemade LC vanilla ) ice cream for me ;)

Though i woke up with 6.3, after that breakfast (for those who are really keen, scroll up a few posts ) i was happy with 5.5. So decided to treat myself a bit... with all the weight loss over the last year, it was time to revamp the wardrobe... so some shopping happened for age appropriate linen clothes here we go ... pre vs. post

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen.
Me and me's have been a bit wayward recently due to a life that's a bit busy.

As a quick aside me and me's have been asked to form a hit squad to deal with these self serving, expense fiddling, referendum denying politicians. If you would like to add your name to the list please do. Only 6 567 853 names so far.

An angry 7.8 stormed out of the meter this morning looking for a fight, so I pointed it at Mrs J peace was soon restored. Don't mess wif Mrs J.

According to the BBC's work of science fiction and fantasy, the weather forecast for this area says we might be able to get across the moat and trim the lawns etc. Have a good one folks.

I’ve been accosted and appear to have volunteered in our local hospice shop cafe today. Serves me right for having a cuppa !

6.7 this morning. I really need to get this random number generator that is my testery machine sorting out m. It’s really misbehaving this week and ruining my spreadsheet

I agree True Blue...so far we have two admissions of class A drugs use...a cannabis incident and goodness know what's to follow...I cant say I'm a fan of any of the Tories however Rory Stewart seems the most moderate...although shame about the opium in Iran;););)

Wanna swap? I was out with three guys in gilets jaunes (?) yesterday at lunch. You can go native here and I will reside there. ;)

It was a dark and stormy morning. Lightning flashed across the sky, aiming for the window. On the sofa, the KittenCat woke up from her postprandial catnap and stared, eyes wide, ears pricked to the rumble of the thunder.
On the nightstand, the BG meter, finished with its work for the day, snuggled more securely into its case and smiled a digital smile. "One-seventeen," it muttered sleepily to the lancet lying beside it. "Wonder how that translates?"
"Six-point-five," came a drowsy reply from the sofa-armtop in the living room.
The KittenCat laid her head back down and closed her eyes.
The window stood firm against the lightning and rain.
Outside the thunder grumbled and retreated back into the clouds.

I am studying French online this morning. :bookworm:

Last night I started to e-mail the rain phrase to my friend who is almost bilingual.:confused:

Four years of high school German and a college major don't exactly prepare one for translating French idioms.

I Googled "gilet jaune" this morning and pictured guys like these:
