What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

The KittenCat was all ready to post here asking to be taken in by one of the cats here for a respite from all the disorder and stress in the air here.
But I suddenly feel calm for a change. I visited the bank manager, and after half an hour an a call to a bank technician somewhere else he was able to get me access to online banking. Everyone there was very nice; it is great to deal with people who seem to like their work and get along well with each other.
Then after i got home and was looking through my files for yet another financial statement, I panicked because the Post Office e-mail said it had been delivered on Saturday and i was afraid I'd thrown it out accidentally with the catalogues. So, another phone call to another company, one that does not send out duplicates.
?????
So I decided to check the mail I never got around to checking yesterday, down in the lobby, and ... there it was!! Along with a piece of mail for someone else who lives here and whose apartment number and name are nothing like mine. Knowing how she must be feeling, I turned it in to the security person at the lobby desk.
Then on the way home from all that, I ran into a neighbor and asked about the "escort" service she organizes, which innocently enough provides escorts to people having outpatient surgery, etc., and the upshot of that is that she is going to drive me not only to get my driver's license tomorrow but to the store I have been wanting to visit for 7 years now.
Yay!!!!!
Fantastic post with a perfect ending.

Hey thats a great day’s work and no the KC loves you unconditionally and will be good. The disruption to her schedule and you being busy wont have gone down well but we know felines and she will be just fine. She’s just stamping her paw but it will all come good.

Moet (great name btw!).
I wanted to call him Krug (another Champagne) but Mrs MC thought it a bit rough, so Moet was agreed. Thanks for your good wishes I will pass them on to him.

@SaskiaKC Fence painting easy! Blooming hard work and mind boggling boredom. Your help would have been most appreciated. Glad you had a great day with positive outcome.

"Stamping her paw" ... I love it. Thank you. :)

Here is my daily watercolour sketch, inspired by a waterfall I pass on my Muddy Cycle Rides. Old Victorian bridge with wonderful dressed sandstone blocks, goes int farmers field, nothing to stop you falling off, good old sensible Victorian health and safety, use you common sense. A5 about 45 minutes..

@gennepher and @PenguinMum the Daffs I posted a few days ago were real, that's why I was so flabbergasted far too early but there they were in MILs garden.

@DJC3 Moet is a typical Labrador puts up with anything he's a good old boy.
A long time since I walked over one of those kind of bridges @Muddy Cyclist
A great bridge and waterfall.
Love seeing your brushes!

I love those sawing wood emojies @SaskiaKC
Absolutely brilliant!
Thank you!

Popeye wanted a circuit of the garden before he retired to the kitchen for the night...

So harness and lead and 3circuits of the garden later and he drags me back into the bungalow and to the kitchen, where I give him some biscuits treats, then I retire to bed...

Love seeing your brushes!
I like to use a very large brush that comes to a fine point and holds lots of paint, not in picture. You probably note the rigger a great brush for the finer tree branches and grass. For interest I use Coteman Watercolour Pan sets for my sketch books but Aquarelle French Artist Watercolour Tubes for my Watercolour Paintings for the good pigment they provide. My sketch pads are Seawhite Watercolour but my favoured paper for full size paintings is Arches Cold Pressed 300 gem 100% Cotton.

.
I’ve been trying and failing for a few months with black coffee, then suddenly it was ok and I wasn’t struggling to drink it, in fact I actually think I prefer it now!! Same happened with sugar in tea, I tried for years to give it up, then decided enough was enough and stuck with it and now I can’t imagine drinking tea with sugar. Good luck, keep at it, even if you only manage half a cup black, by the time you put cream in, you’ll only be using half as much.
Used to drink my coffee black, but noted staining to my teeth, my dentist blamed the black coffee and recommended adding just a splash of milk (prior to dx) to stop this happening. As it was needed to have a bicarbonate of soda deep clean of my teeth to get rid. (Of the staining, not my teeth)

Poor Hubby @Ryhia :joyful:
Keep on typing!!!

what do you wish you could?
Bless him if I claimed the TV for any length of time he would have withdrawal symptoms - he is addicted to detective shows only surpassed by cartoons oh and perhaps football. I know, strange combination. I have now resorted to an old Windows 7 laptop with a faulty keyboard - using an external keyboard and still trying to catch up.

I have done that before and do it now...using an external keyboard @Ryhia
I prefer that because then I can use the keyboard of my choice.
Glad you have found a temporary solution!

Thanks for that good info @Muddy Cyclist
It is interesting to find out what other people use and like.

Had a bit of an accident with my laptop, my fault . Screen was dicey and kept sticking and fading. I got fed up with holding my thumb at the side of the screen to get it to work. I decided I would try to fix it. Now don't have a workable screen duh!. Need to have another try at fixing it--my eyes are just not good enough to connect the screen connector, get it fixed by a professional or buy a new device. I like the 3rd option the best - any excuse! Currently using a really old Windows 7 machine which has a knackered keyboard, Wasn't worth fixing at the time but pleased I kept it. Having to use an external keyboard which is a pain as having to switch between mouse and alternate keyboard when I want to do anything. Typing on proper keyboard comes out something like this... ty[[[lnd,s3ts3,tj;ltjs3/

After admitting to that piece of stupidity back to FBGs which were 5.5 this morning.
Hope you get your computer sorted soon. Really good FBG.

Love this picture, and like @gennepher says I really like the brushes in the photo too.
