What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

@geefull thanks for Tulip Art compliment. Your nature study is very impressive, I have lots to learn to achieve that level of observation. Miniatures are also very good, I liked you seascape best of the two.

@gennepher a real feel of oil or acrylic paint to this digital art, liked the effect very much. Good to hear you are both doing OK.

I did a painting yesterday, first in my Woodland series, will post it once I manage to get a reasonable photo.

7.05am FBG 5.0
Plan for the day. , much like yesterday. More digging. Planting, and potting on.
But I will start with clearing up the kitchen, made a fresh batch of nut granola very late last night and didn't do the washing up. So that's first. Food processor makes the job so much quicker and easier.
On a slightly different topic have started measuring cream into my coffee, because it seems to be disappearing at a phenomenal rate. Am using one tablespoon per cup.

So here is yesterdays painting, should be today's as I painted finished it at 1.45 am today.
Watercolour A4 first in the Woodland Series, inspired by some woods we walked through with Moet, no BlueBells yet but soon will be, so a little artistic license. Took about 1hour 15 minutes and I tried to keep my free style.

A beautiful woodland walk...I love it @Muddy Cyclist
May I should try some bluebells today...

Good morning prick and tell massive. Accurately or not my fbg was shown as 5.4 on my meter screen. Very uninspiring but could be much worse different - no idea what level is my optimal level. So much of this is filed under known unknowns. I enjoyed h/m coleslaw with cheese and egg last evening - bg 4.1 after 2 hrs. I don't like films much and don't really like The Beatles but I quite enjoyed watching Yesterday last night. Noble act @trick60 . Cheerybye.

Fbg 7.9
Temp 35.9

From eating those delicious fried potatoes the other day, I am still having sharp arthritic pains. At least I know now the extent to which potatoes can affect me.

Sunny today
Popeye is asleep on my lap doing okay.

Take care
Stay safe

Good morning everyone from a blustery morning in the dark and dangerous north.

The wonder wheel of Bengal curry and two very thin popadoms came in at 5.1 this am.

A chilly wind today tells me that it might not be a good idea to go out today. Yes I know I haven’t been out for over three weeks but the back of the house has each day been opened into the garden and I could imagine being out during my trips round the 22 yard circuit. Just over 6 miles yesterday and all the time maintaining good social distancing to all the people involved in my imaginary walk/jog/stroll up the coastal path.

@trick60 - good of you to lend out your testing kit. @ianpspurs are you cornering the market in carbon neutral avocado’s?

Have as wonderful a day as you can, koffy calls.

Morning All. 5.8 today so time to rein it in. Enjoyed free range roast chicken dinner and scrabble and gin on the terrace before. Different weather today but not all bad. Up and out to feed Mr Fuzz, felt a bit sorry for Mrs Fuzz because she never gets to the seed in time, he takes it all.
Thank you for the wonderful art @gennepher @Muddy Cyclist and @geefull never fails to delight me.
Have the best Easter Monday you can. Stay/get well. Stay safe each one.

Along with carbon neutral tea, coffee, spinach, olive oil, coconut oil, MCT, tomatoes and cucumbers plus water sparing Californian almonds, chia and flaxseeds from goodness knows where. Then there's the very carbon neutral meat. poultry, eggs and dairy with delicious added antibiotics and growth hormones. Who knows what chemical cocktail wildfowl and fish eat now?. Yes Cheryl, we're worth it. Highly responsible and sustainable lifestyle dontcha know:banghead:

5.9 this morning. Really enjoyed yesterday sitting in the sun at Costa Del Patio.

Finished my 2015 Rebus book - really enjoyed it. Did some work on an exercise sheet. Re-wrote it a dozen times because I knew what I wanted to say but couldn't explain it in a concise way. Will look at it again today.

Started reconciling the March bank statement. The muddled heap of invoices I had run off from my computer is now nearly clipped to the bank statement.

so a really good day yesterday.

Moring all, haven't a clue what to post as my Fbg. First one surely not correct - 6.1 I ate carnivore last night and no snacking. Second one even higher, 6.5 What?? Washed hands again, third one 5.0? 4th one 5.6 . Takes calming breath, I'll take the last one. Why do I feel like I am in the story of the 3 (4) bears. Memo to myself: Do not waste test strips!

We have all been there, does make one question the accuracy of all this Dracula Feeding. We have to believe in it's worth and IMO even if inaccurate it's much better than not knowing at all. I would have chosen the 5.

Loved the artwork - Love trees as much as many people love animals. Thank you for posting.

I'm with @Muddy Cyclist and would have chosen the 5.0 as obviously that is the only one that is correct.

Working on my salad veg growing from shop bought stuff.
First attempts failed because I forgot to water with Popeye not being well.. I just didn't think of it..

So, I need a more foolproof system.

First of all, the shoe shelves are now on the kitchen window sills, the sink is near me, the kettle for making tea/coffee is near me, so it's easy to water and spray when I am making a cuppa. This new system is working. I am remembering to water with it being near the the sink and kettle.

I am also working on a salad type garden etc from the kitchen door. So this morning I was utilising containers and pots, anything I could find and arranging them by the kitchen door...the pot washing up water will go on these. So, this means I will remember the watering even if a crisis unfolds.

I will post more on this later this week and photos.

In the meantime, do you remember these from Ikea a couple of decades ago? You kept your plastic bags in them...

Well, I am utilising this one as a planter...for onions...still got a few problems like how to water to work out yet...will post the finished item in a couple of days...the intention is to have it indoors on the front window sill....

Truly ingenious and very off grid - good for you. Meanwhile, shopping from my sofa continues to be too tempting. Following the 5 kgs of Hellmans Mayo triumph (4.1 @ + 2hrs for liberally coated h/m coleslaw last night) this is today's foray - https://wildgamemeat.co.uk/. We have bought the Elk and Deer sausages before - which I loved. Added the pork jerky and this dinky morsel https://wildgamemeat.co.uk/collecti...-smoked-skilandis-1-kg?variant=29387591745619

the awful news yesterday OMG.

unbelievable how bad this has got
with worse to come..:banghead:

FBG of little importance right now, but we do our best,
to keep it all normal.

6.2
temp 35.6

both me and Lauren well
learned today one of my nephews wife's brother.
got it ...laid up ...but now recovery thank god.

she's in a care home situation, so nephew a bit of a conspiracy theorist,
is keeping a lid on it for now, for her sake.., and he's still working
so a prayer for him

Lauren now officially furloughed until the end of April.

For those in the same boat, Seems the terms can be as short as firms like as long as its at least 3 weeks and staff can be rotated in and out of furlough
as long as above rules are applied.

with the news trickling in that the vaccines is likely to be 12/18 months away, at best
(although others, are seemingly going to test without full approval on volunteers..so god willing..god bless those volunteers)
it's seeming likely.. IF we get the peak soon, she might be considering going back to work next month.

We all have to at some point go back to near normal, expectation is 80% will get this (passport office guidance to staff )
and just hope the time we have bought, bring the best chance of great medical care, better drug regimes , the re-purposing of other drugs etc, and the appearance of a working vaccines of sorts.

Sunny but not such a great day today.

Just while i have the chance..and today seems as good a day as any.

it has been MY pleasure being amongst you all.
although we have disagreed, the tone has always been respectful.
and i made many new friends in my time on here,

So am most grateful for the info, camaraderie, but most of all the humour.
the titters, the chuckles and the full on belly laughs...:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious::D

You guys should all know the part you played in my recovery,
i wear my heart on my sleeve, and while i try not to wound
(and where i have have done it without intending to...i did it with the best of intentions )

i just wanted to take the opportunity, to say ..THANK YOU, for being there for ME.
I hope i was there for YOU.

You ALL, in your own unique, quirky lovable ways, have made this journey evolve from a personal tragedy
into a well informed and successful rescue mission.

Where i too now, take on the missionary duties to go tell others
"T2D does NOT have to BE the disease they insist it is."
awake, listen, and you too could find a way out.

i follow your lead, to get others to challenge, dare and manage this disease in the best way possible using today's data of success,
not yesterdays dogma of proven failure.

if not forever in my posts , you'll be forever in my heart.

Live Long & Prosper
you beautiful people of the thread of Gold.
x
