We had a good family meal although my son will never make a film director. Music was performed by each family in turn and an art challenge was set for next Friday the best drawing of Super Carrot, don't ask.

So faced with little time and not having any idea what my next series of paintings will be I dabbled with some Tuscany scenes. We rented a farm there about 5 years ago, magical, so I thought I would look through my sketch pads and photos and came up with some Tuscany scenes. Two Quick A5 watercolours about 15 minutes in total. Not totally sure that's what I will use for next series but thinking along those lines.

good afternoon all :)

a misty morning but a sunny day after it cleared so we'll be watering some things in the garden this evening.
mr gee had to take his mum into town to get her repeat prescription items this morning, she only needs to get them once every two months thankfully and they were ready for her when she got there ;)

After they got back we got a few more logs moved across mum's shed and stacked against the sunny side which helps the drying out process.
Just back from a walk round the village to complete the exercise for the day and dinner is in the oven :)

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@gennepher I'm glad the chicken wire seems to have helped keep the beastie out. Nice pastel, I like the strong silhouette against the sky :)

@Muddy Cyclist that's a very atmospheric rendering of Eilean Donan and having the sky the way it is gives it a brooding intensity that works very well ;)

Today's art catch up - both with the Daler Rowney paints.
no 1 - mr gee asked me what would happen when the bare trees came into leaf - answer is I'd paint them badly :hilarious: I'd better add foliage to my list of things to practice.

no 2 - this is from a photograph I saw on the net ;) I quite like the way the tree bark and the plants round the base turned out :)

Really liked these especially the bottom one with all that detail.

@gennepher good pastel drawing I am liking these pastel scenes.

Woke up thinking I had been asleep for Hours

20 - 30 mins max...weird :watching::wacky::rolleyes:

Maybe I should market it to world leaders
The power nap . With added '" Zzzz's "..?

Nothing to lose....

I get that too.
Wake up from a short sleep thinking I have been asleep for hours, disorientated too because it was such a deep sleep, and it is barely 10 to 15 mins later...

Perhaps he has shares in bleach....

Fbg 6.8

Temp 36.1

Been up since 3 am
His Lordship was annoyed with me yesterday. He didn't like me going to the shops in the morning, and then he greatly disapproved when I found I had locked the potting shed door padlock with the key inside the potting shed in the jacket I had taken off in there the previous day.

His Lordship's routine is the potting shed for his afternoon naps.

By the time I finally got in, it was later afternoon than he wanted and he was showing his disapproval.

He was still annoyed with me in the evening...

Anyway I was very tired so went to bed about 7. I did notice his cat tray could do with a change but I was too tired and thought I would do it in the morning.

At 3 am his Lordship woke me up with his paw patting my face. So I swung my feet out of the bed into a humungous puddle just where I put my feet. I looked at his Lordship who looked back at me with wide open 'innocent' eyes...'well you didn't change my cat litter' his eyes said.

I said something different to him...

Good Morning and 6.2 for me.

A night of strange dreams, then awoke with what I thought was a high temperature until I realised all the radiators where on stun, no idea why as thermostat was turned right down and it's not a cold night, something else to worry about.

Keep doing your best.

5.5. Had breakfast and coffee. Poppy is nudging me - hoping that I will get up from my reclining chair and get ready for the doggie walk. Feeling a bit lazy this morning. Stayed reading much too long last night - or rather into the early hours of this morning. Couldn't put my book down.

5.55am FBG 4.9 Body seems to think time to get up. Sure I can feel DP happening. Tried going back to bed, shopping dreams, and recipe adaptations running through my brain. Woke with a start ( just like you @Muddy Cyclist fifteen mins later, decided body had won, so got up. DP had kicked in, FBG 5.5... in 20 mins.
Cool and cloudy again so will attempt more of the dreaded hedge cutting, or at least that's the plan, on the list. We all know how effective the TO DO list is.

Stay/get well, stay safe all of you.

I can imagine what you said. Although it could have been even worse. Probably shouldn't go further with this at breakfast time.

I might have had a olfactory warning if .... the subject we do not mention at breakfast time...

Morning all. No strips for a few days now - Tee 2 (Spirit Health) sent them out 10 days ago allegedly. So a good time to review "The Journey." Fbg was 5.3 this day in 2016 on this kind of regime "1100 ish cals and steps, <25 gms carb; 30 mins cycle quite gently; gentle 1 mileish dog walk" In June it produced an A1c of 37 (5.5), Cholesterol of 4 and weight of 12 stones - 76.2 kgs. At 1 year in ok with weight and lipids - I have never felt bg control works as claimed. Now (5 years in) I weigh 73 kgs (cals nearer 2k, lipids at same level with even better ratio at Dec 2019 review.) Stayed around there and resigned to bg control "failure" until 2018 when I wanted better bg control:arghh: Experiments following reading around this forum produced my worst ever lipid profile in June 2018 (top line 4.8) due to several fasts and a weight of 72.5 kgs - lowest since about age 15/16 - now convinced 73 kgs optimal for 183 cms) with same 5.5 A1c- I have never really enjoyed or trusted LC since. I decided to restore lipids to where I want as a priority - just about starting to work my way back to acceptance of LC but may not be a lab test in June. Pups can be walked from Thursday next - first dilemma of lockdown. Stay well, safe and keep your eyes on the prize.

That's interesting about the DP. That was quite a big jump in 20 minutes.
At least you have a TO DO list. Mine seems to have disappeared. It is somewhere in the heap of paper on my desk.
