Thanks for hugs, already improving, I'm used to managing this Fibromyalgia, luckily I can usually shake off the worst, an Aerobic bike ride can get it gone faster but not prepared to take the risks at the moment.
Re vaccine test, apparently they are trying to test whilst we are in the current peak otherwise they will have to wait until the next wave hits, not going to be a quick fix.

Thanks for the hug. Zoom is good it was just the limit of 40 minutes. I might have to put my hand in my pocket and pay for the family, @Debandez indicated it was just under £11 per month for unlimited access. We gave up trying it with the folk group as other members didn't want to put to the cost. The choirs we sing in may use it as we pay subs for being members.

PS a relative says 'house party' worked OK for family get together and works on all platforms.

Yes thats right, my daughter pays @£10 per month. It really is amazing. We have a family quiz on a Thursday evening. Family from Australia joining in. We start at 8.30pm here and they set alarms to join us at 5.30am! There's 9 of us but im sure my daughter said you can have up to 100. Parliament are using it now for their virtual sessions i believe.
The quiz lasts about an hour but we chat away until gone midnight. We all love it.

If we can only test at the start of peak in a pandemic OR after the peak.
(Due to higher numbers making it impossible )

And given the ONLY reason we didn't do testing before the peak was due to lack of kit and labs...
And it was always in our plans to track trace and test

Then I wonder why we don't have ALL the trackers and tracers standing by ready RIGHT now .mmhh

because to my mind, if all that stopped us pre peak was kits n labs HAD been resolved back then,
the teams would at least have been trained up ready to jump into Action, right.?

A lovely surprise earlier I heard a little knock at the door...opened it to see my little neighbour Liv standing there pointing to the kitchen window sill...there stood my three poor neglected plant pots filled with vibrant red plants & a hanging basket...she crept over the wall and replanted them...the hanging basket is filled with trailing fuschias one of my favourites honestly she is a real sweetie.

@gennepher there are six houses here, four occupied. We do get occasional people passing, for exercise. There is also the language barrier. Although improving my french is still nowhere near adequate. Sizeable hole too. Did the chicken wire work?

I have always liked doing this kind of composition...
But the iPad camera made it more purple than it was, but I liked that so I left it.

Took me less than an hour.

good afternoon all

a misty morning but a sunny day after it cleared so we'll be watering some things in the garden this evening.
mr gee had to take his mum into town to get her repeat prescription items this morning, she only needs to get them once every two months thankfully and they were ready for her when she got there

After they got back we got a few more logs moved across mum's shed and stacked against the sunny side which helps the drying out process.
Just back from a walk round the village to complete the exercise for the day and dinner is in the oven

Hope your day is treating you well

@gennepher I'm glad the chicken wire seems to have helped keep the beastie out. Nice pastel, I like the strong silhouette against the sky

@Muddy Cyclist that's a very atmospheric rendering of Eilean Donan and having the sky the way it is gives it a brooding intensity that works very well

Today's art catch up - both with the Daler Rowney paints.
no 1 - mr gee asked me what would happen when the bare trees came into leaf - answer is I'd paint them badly I'd better add foliage to my list of things to practice.

I like bare trees of winter best! You can see the different shapes, and the various ways the branches hold themselves. Give me winter trees anytime!

I like both trees. However I like the bottom one best where you have concentrated on the tree trunk. It is powerful.
