What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good morning everyone from a very blustery and bouncingly wet start in the dark and dangerous north

The wonder wheel grazing and where the Heck are those sausages came in at 5.4 this am

Hot yesterday - far too hot for this pale northerner - I do prefer it cold and then can add layers - scorchio - I tend to hide in the front of the house, which faces North (ish) or sit wherever the shade happens to be in the garden. Granddaughter was her usual bright and cheerful self although at seven months, does have a couple of naps each day. We went out to our local park but were back by 1030 to sit in the shade of the garden. Twenty greedy portions of apple sauce now reside in the freezer. That should last all year as we don’t over indulge it. Koffy grinding - because someone bought beans instead of ground.

Congratulations @gennepher on your eye test results, pity about not being issued your pilots licence but you can buy them on Ebay I suspect.

@Alien Aspie - hope you feel better today - do hot and humid nights have any impact on breathing?

Another look at contemporary Chinese Art then back to what I was hoping for - sketches of some of our favorite walks, climbs and scrambles. Koffy a go-go and have a wonderful day.

Art for today...
In ZenBrush2
A full cat...in case you didn't know Popeye eats his mice whole in one long gulp, and the still moving tail is the last to go in...
Just what you needed to know at breakfast time...

Use layers - practice incorporating dots (there is something called a Moss Dot Brush - who knew! Anyhow, time for koffy and our youngest granddaughter has just arrived. Have a great day.

Thank you for your compliment on the birdie and good wishes @dunelm

This is amazing...I love it.
Waterfall is fantastic.
I need to find that mossy brush...I need to investigate these layers. My simple mind is dealing with one layer at the mo...

Strange day and a garden visit this afternoon. Choir meeting in a garden tonight, only a few will be there so feels a bit safer.

So started a painting of a Plein Air sketch I did a few weeks ago. Not finished and foreground will be a wild flower meadow a bit of a challenge. A4 watercolour will finish Friday.

I love this @Muddy Cyclist
The dark moody rain clouds, and that sun that comes through and lights up the fields. I have never been able to achieve this...yet!
I look forward to the wild flowers!

Thank you so much for the commiserations @dunelm
I am guessing if I still lived in Liverpool, the local pub would have been able to issue me one, after all everything else under the sun could be purchased there...

This is truly wonderful. I love it. I don't know why, but it makes me smile (in a good way). It is a happy painting.
Don't tell me...layers again!
I am going to have to attempt what you and @Alien Aspie are doing....

I snapped a few other photos on my walk thought I might share them if it's OK.

The first I thought a little ironic was a Heron stood on what is a no fishing sign looking to catch a fish or two.

The second is the same bird in flight not very distinct but though I had my Nikon camera with telephoto lens attached I found I had neglected to put the memory card back in before I left so had to rely on my mobile phone camera what an idiot.
I love seeing other people's photos @JohnEGreen
So, it is okay with me for you to share.

Fbg 3.6 just now and the libre suggests I test again in 15 minutes.
What's happening, John? Are you getting an inappropriate insulin or glucagon response?
It can be very difficult when these hormone producing organs start deciding to produce uncontrolled hormone.
It needs the help of an endo.

6.5 this morning but it has been a rough night as I have been up for most of it with breathing issues.

No wheezing, phlegm, or cough, just a tightness in the upper chest and a sense of not breathing fully. My lung function readings have averaged 375 over 24 hrs, which is not dire (75% of my personal normal).

Think I'll take it easy today ;)

Hugs for you @Alien Aspie
You take care.

The hot windy air (what we here at the moment), makes it feel I cannot breathe properly.

So no hedge cutting today. Just sit on the bench and enjoy watching nature...

I have no idea a total mystery to me am going to have a chat with my doctor about it when able it as it's getting out of hand.

At times I think oh it's just the libre inaccuracy then when I check against a finger prick I find they are not far apart at all then I think well must have conquered the big D then I will get readings in the high teens as I say seems little rhyme or reason to it may be doc can sort it or refer me to an Endo.

Ps As MG over the years has taught me you can get used to just about anything in time.

When I discussed with my eldest, the gp, my very slight vision anomaly she was really helpful!!!

Said, "You should have eaten your greens when you were young!"

Sometimes with GPs it is having all the facts to hand and then hoping they will send you in the right direction. Liver enzymes tests would seem a good initial step.
It is difficult atm, I should see Endo every year but it's coming up to two years now due Covid.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who woke up this morning.

A 5.4 this morning on the meter of mystery and naughtiness.

An interesting 108 miles yesterday on the motorbike. Down to Loomies, then cross country on C and D roads to Whitchurch in Hampshire via foot peg deep floods. Stopping at the Watermill cafe for koffy. A very nice venue. I can recommend it for the setting and drinks. Not low carb.

Well fellow posters and painters whatever the day throws at you, pick it up and throw it back.
