What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

1st. Many thanks for all kind thoughts and best wishes for yesterday's trip to the hospital, a raft of blood tests and an ultrasound scan are required.
The local hospital and my transplant hospital are changing the way things are done and it sounds very much like joined up thinking has at last been applied and I hope this new system works.

Bloods this morning were 6.8, that meter is well, best not say to much.

Yesterday evening I analysed my eating patterns and the conclusion was I'm mostly vegan ( shock horror ).
Let me explain
Most of my meal is composed of vegetables say 70%, then the balance is protein with a little gravy.

The upshot of this horrendous conclusion is I'm damaging the environment with vegetation generated flatulence and causing farm animals to starve by eating their fodder.
Should I go back to eating processed foods irrespective of the damage to my health?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
Blimey your Environmental Footprint sounds worse than mine, I thought I had worries about the future of my Wood Burner Stove. :)

My sons last partner was Vegan as was her three boys, nightmare. Re flatulent there are now some environmentally friendly corks. :inpain:

Classes really went well yesterday. Did 7 hours of teaching at my local venues. Not as tiring as teaching on Zoom - which was quite surprising.

Today back on Zoom as not starting back at Norwich venue until June.

Signed up for super fast broadband today. At the moment it is fibre to the cabinet and copper wire to the house but now, at last, we can get fibre directly to the house. Can't wait as it means the end of waiting for some of my larger documents full of images to open from the cloud.

Speed will be 150mbps. I will be supersonic.

Good Morning and 6.1 for me today. Bacon, Egg, Peas and 2 chips last night so 2 chips too many, I will try 1 chip next time.

Floor is now all sorted and a load of other jobs lined up by Mrs MC. :banghead:

Off to deliver Mrs MCs Mountain Bike to have major alterations. I put on new handlebars, Dutch or Northern Bars a bit like French Bread Basket bikes, looks Very odd on a mountain bike but it gets Mrs MC into a more upright position without having to buy a new bike. So hydraulic hoses need to be lengthened for the disc breaks.

Daughters family arriving this evening for the first indoor meal in ages.

Keep safe and let time take you where it will.

good evening all :)

4.2 today

shopping day and it was a suprisingly quiet start today :) plus Scotland still mandates mask wearing so that's quite reassuring.

blue bin has been emptied so our small recycling items are trundling away to wherever they end up :sorry:

Large recycling we take to the centre in the nearby town and have the satisfaction of chucking bits of scrap metal noisily into skips etc. ;) (I know, I know - 'little things amuse little minds' :D)

Hope your day is treating you well :)

@alf_Josiah - hope your clinic visit went as well as you could wish :)

@lindisfel - what a fantastic pair of photos, beautiful skies :joyful:

@Muddy Cyclist - what a sorry disappointment :( I hope something effective can be set up soon.

@gennepher - a lovely painting today (with or without autowriting ;) ), It's very fluid and I especially like the colours you brought into the foreground :)

@dunelm - another little gem, those cool receding hills are lovely :)

art bit - thank you for your kind comments on yesterday's art, I do like the Hahnemuhle paper even if it needs a different way of working :) the exercise will do me good

ok, now I want to try some Rizla paper in a collage :hilarious:

no paper info. today for my peony painting ;) because I forgot to make a note of the details :sorry:

Glad shopping and recycle worked well @geefull
Thanks for the compliments.
A beautiful peony painted in your distinctive gentle style.
I like it very much.

You probably get energy from the actual 'physical nearness' of the people in the class, being around people seems to give one some kind of higher vibration, that you cannot get from a computer screen @Krystyna23040

Good morning everyone on a day of mixed messages on the sun/rain balance here in the dark and dangerous north
The wonder wheel of chicken diners came in at 5.1 this am

Zoom call last night - Patient Practice Group - another 600 invited for Jabs on Saturday, including Mrs Miggins and myself. Talk about Flu jabs and Covid booster jabs in the autumn and also moving back to a normalised practice. Our surgery was doing telephone triage well before the pandemic so will be continuing in some cases. Lots of insight about NHS England and the roll out. I am sworn to secrecy until it all gets leaked and auctioned off by the the man from Barnard Hassle.
A new branch of Hard Rock Cafe is due to open in Newcastle - woopee! We went to one in NY and then another in SF and a third in London - blooming heck, they are all the same - no. Koffy is OK but that’s about it if you are looking for minimum carbs.
Tracks and trains being run by a govt body? Surely not - how would that work? Wonder if it will be called ‘Great British Railways”?
Another few rocks today. The background refused to cooperate - Ah well, the carpet fitter will be here this morning to make banging noises. Koffy.

This is an amazing set of rocks today @dunelm
Foreground, middle distance, far distance, all creating a great sense of perspective.

I am glad that your hospital visit went well @alf_Josiah
Joined up thinking by the hospital! That will be a new one…
Enjoy your day despite whatever the weather throws at us....

Fbg 6.5

Another painting in ZenBrush3
I am getting a little bit more comfortable with it. I think I figured out some more things when I last used it. Doing this painting, with like working watercolour in the most unpredictable watercolour paper. The watercolour paint just spreading and spreading and spreading and not staying where I put it...
But I had fun doing it!
My bridges definitely needs some work.
I'll have a play for a few days in ZenBrush3 and see where it leads me...

6.2 this morning. Dropping car off for MOT and service shortly. Will take dogs and walk them back home instead of their usual morning park walk.

Picking up car early afternoon, then on to nurse appointment for a change of wound dressing, then a Zoom 1:1 and then 3 classes at my closest venue. Hopefully everything goes to plan as there is not much time between each event.
