Good morning everyone from a lackluster looking day here in Staffordshire. We have been promised mainly cloudy but you never know. We are all meeting in town this morning for a wander round and then off to look at rock formations and wander some grassy lanes. The grandchildren love camping and exploring new places. Art bit, a new piece. I did this about a week ago as I knew that we would be away this weekend. Have a smashing day - try not to travel - the roads have all been commandeered by NCP. Koffy, must find some koffy.

Steps going down down down...in the basement of secrets...
Enjoy your weekend...

Hello everyone from a sunny, warm, bright blue skied start to the day in this peculiar annex to the land of the free and home of the brave. (Played 5.32 pm each evening after GSTQ. To me GSTQ is a woeful NA in comparison). Amazon can't deliver dog food as per schedule so I will venture into Thetford- major town in The Trusster's constituency (the attached made me chuckle; Thefordians opinion of her aren't positive) - for supplies and run the ancient RR on clearish A roads. Grandson was a joy yesterday as were Stokes, Foakes plus 9 other blokes and salmon salad (with halloumi fries). Enjoy Staffordshire and the grandchildren @dunelm. Thank you for the art as I am enjoying this series with their slow reveals. New, to me, word yesterday: edgelord. An act put on by too many putative and soon to be ex uk leaders and manure stirrers. At times I do wonder if some posters were way ahead of me in finding and exploring this word. Enjoy the weekend and bank holiday here in the uk. No childminding scheduled until Tuesday but MIL will be here for lunch on Sunday.

Food dehydrator...rubbish. Rubbish in that it costs the Earth to run with today's inflated electricity prices...
Apples were supposed to take 6 to 8 hours to crisp. 12 hours later, they are still at the rubber stage, and my smart display tells me £2 worth of electricity has been used in that time. Granted, the table top freezer and table top fridge were on, and I did boil water for a few cuppas....
It will be consigned to charity shop or the garage....

Both trail cameras fixed on the swing wooden uprights. The small one scored again. Got a fox at 2 am.The big one, even though trained to where the fox was, did not pick Foxy up. But it did pick up Midnight all night.

Midnight is on guard every second of the night. The bigger trail camera recorded Midnight's every yawn, and every clean of his whiskers.. I had multiple x multiple 10 second video shots of that. ...YAWN....

Foxy came in just after 2 am.
Had a mooch around.
And left.

Midnight slid off the swing the moment he heard Foxy, and disappeared.

Why didn't the bigger trail camera pick up Foxy?

Both cameras are set identically...

A cuppa needed.

My eyes will be looking skywards today...

Midnight is asleep on the swing.

I took a photo of Foxy on the small trail camera screen...

And here is a kaleidoscope on Kaleidomatic of a fairy in my garden.

Have a lovely day...

Shame about the dehydrator and the bigger camera not picking up the fox. Thanks for the photo. Looks a truculent fox. Thanks for the creative. Enjoy your cuppa(s)

Hope you find your dog food Ian.
Enjoy your exploration....

Afternoon ladies and gentlemen.
Blood sugars this morning were 5.5
Any rumours that I’m at the Reading pop festival are totally untrue.
Unfortunately:-(
Stay safe.

Thanks. Change of destination as No 3 son treated us to lunch at an aspirational farm shop/butcher/cafe. (Shares name with the battle as the original farmhouse was built with timbers from the battleship) We bought a shoulder of lamb and some ribeye steak (-20%) Closer to Newmarket (Hancock's half hour territory) so went into Tesco for dog food - cheaper than normal Amazon variety- and sashimi:woot:

Shame about that dehydrator. I have such a function on my oven but don’t use it because I think it will cost too much to run. Great fox capture, wonder why the larger camera is not catching much? Scary fairy kaleidoscope - smashing.

I get Tesco Tasty Treats and send them to California by DHL for a friend of mine as they are his dogs favourite treat - what a world.

good morning everyone from another morning in ‘down south a bit’ - yesterday was exploring the town of Leek and then over to Alfreton to meet cousins over from both New Zealand and Australia - big family do with people from the crib to knocking on heavens door - a good occasion to see ageing aunts and uncles that we are so lucky to still have with us and all the tiny tots newly arrived - so on it goes. Off to a place called Lud’s Church today - you can look it up. Art bit - the addition of some ‘filler’. Have a smashing Sunday, I will shortly be on the hunt for a decent Moffitt.

Yes, it appears such a function is not cost effective in these days of exorbitant electricity prices....
i repositioned the camera last night and am about to see what they caught in a minute.....
Thanks for the kaleidoscope compliment.
