@gennepher no wonder you were not feeling good. Absolutely horrible dreadful vet. The vet was the one who was the complete and utter failure.I have a few humidifiers @jjraak
The big one that nearly drowned my bedroom last summer that I used because of the dry air and heat.
But I also have a couple of small usb personal ones, cost me £15 to £25 that run off a battery power pack , which means you can place it anywhere in a room, or next to where you are sitting.
I did write a much longer post here, but when I pressed send, it deleted half my post
Here is the rest of what I wrote...
A humidifier is good in winter apparently.
I have one going in the front room, and one in my bedroom.
Midnight took bad a couple weeks ago.
Respiratory infection.
Vet said Midnight was probably quite an old cat about 15 years old and suggested euthanasia.
Not on your darn Nelly.
We came home with antibiotics.
Midnight was still very very poorly.
Then I thought of my little humidifiers.
You could see the relief in his breathing immediately.
It is now nearly a week later, and I have my old Midnight back.
He has recovered.
He has lost weight, he's about half a size he was. Because he hasn't eaten for nearly 2 weeks.
But he is eating now and is healthier than me I think.
I am so relieved, I was sobbing my heart out before, because I thought I failed in everything. Now you know where some of my sense of failure came from. He hadn't turned the corner then. But he has now.
Those little personal humidifiers were and are worth their weight in gold.
They are helping me breathe better as well. I had never thought of using them in the winter...
How wonderful that Midnight has now turned the corner. All due to you.
