This is from earlier this year when we had another snowfall. I forgot to publish it!

Creative is a digital painting in Procreate of Honesty.
Not happy with it at all. Couldn't sleep last night.
Midnight gave up on me and went to sleep in the front room.
So I painted this Honesty on my iPad mini.

My friend cancelled our meeting today just as I was ready to set off, so I went back to bed, and am still here...
Her husband is ill, so just one of those things.

Time for a coffee...

Have your best day...

Lovely creative. Can't see why you aren't happy with it. Hope your reaction to the rapeseed passes soon. That chef needs to know the damage his sausages did.

It annoys my youngest that vegans try to imitate eating meat. What's the point of having vegan sausage? its foul to eat when proper meat sausage is quite tasty, what next? vegan mince and vegan steak?
They probably get a cheap thrill from the thought of consuming a sausage shaped package,
Good to see you here Derek , hope you are taking it easy while recovering - don't stress Marjorie. I tend to agree with the nonsense of imitating meat. We'll never agree on (British) sausages but each to their own.

You have been able to get meatless steak for about 60 years - we tried them when they were available in Canterbury in the early 60's. Horrid! And pointless. We could also get sawdust sausages. Both were tinned. TVP mince is quite common now and is a filler in many supposedly meat pies. Of course, there are many Quorn products which imitate mince. Even if I did like them, I wouldn't be able to eat them because of all the other things in them. I really don't see the point of bacon, ham, chicken, beef or any other meatless meat product. If you like the taste of meat, and it doesn't make you ill, then eat meat. Otherwise, eat honest vegetables. Just my opinion of course, and it's up to everyone to make up their own mind.

Smashing colours and the effect of the dark background works well

Front of our house now bunted ready for the big day. Corrie Nats or Chazzle Dazzle seem to be trending as names for the weekend - disrespectful or a fair summary of what it actually means to most below a certain age? Forecast to be wet, wet and wet again here so supermarkets could be stuck with plenty of barbeque food.

I remember trying TVP mince in the early 1970's. It was horrid. And I didn't feel good when I ate it. My stomach felt uneasy.
I cannot eat Quorn at all. It upsets me badly.

I agree, with your comment about honest vegetables.

My oximeter is not reading right so I tested it on the duchess at 98% 99%
I am varying between 95%.and 90% and she has never needed BP meds. I shall have to start exercising again.
Take it easy Derek. I know your daughter must be busy but could you possibly ask for advice on the trade off between sats level and over exertion? NHS feel 95% is fine

Talked with an online friend. She advises bringing Environmental Health into this, and asking that they inspect this establishment.
I am just about to do this.

My wind pains have gone.
But the heartburn it aggravated is still with me.
And my blood sugars are still in double figures...

I don't think I can risk, nor trust having food prepared by strangers outside of my house again.

I would have expected my blood sugar readings to have come down to single figures by now. Also I will say my stomach still feels a little bloated from the whatever was in that vegetarian sausage. So, once that eases away completely, I hope my blood sugar readings should be in single figures ?

This has completely upset the balance of the workings inside my body. I am assuming it will correct itself within a day or so?

The only thing I am going to be able to have out of the house will be a tea or a coffee, or maybe a hot chocolate. BUT minus the squirty cream. The last one I looked at the ingredients of had rapeseed oil in it.

Am I going to pay the price for a drink out of the house? I very much doubt it when I can make a flask for literally buttons.

It will just be to be sociable with another person.,.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and all A.I. Proto humans, soon to be labelled the Master Race by the media.

Blood sugars this morning were an impressive 6.7, a worthy result of messing up insulin timings, still well within my hospital given limits.

Wednesday is the start of my week, therefore today is Monday, take it or leave it, it is of no consequence and not worth quibbling over.

Vegan food stuffs. As I have written frequently I am a big fan of vegan bacon sarnies. Bacon is derived from pigs and as we all are aware pigs are 70% vegan, therefore bacon is vegan. As four ( cheque spelling) other “ vegan “ meat substitute products, me me’s and myself say thank you for the warning, best avoid.
Sausages contain fillers mostly high carb therefore again best avoided, for us diabetics food and eating out is problematic. I totally understand @gennepher ’s problem and have sympathy and admiration for how Gennefer copes, good on you.

I two struggle with cooking fats, fried eggs are now a big no no. Scrambled eggs and hard boiled are fine, but fried eggs in the wrong medium act as a very effective laxative and extremely quick acting.

Enough of this, time to discuss this coming weekend with Mrs J who has plans, but thankfully no bunting ( Billy or otherwise ).
Stay safe all.

Just checked my oximeter readings.
Have to be honest, I haven't done that in a few months.
Readings are fluctuating between 97 to 98. Normal for me.
Pulse is 88. That's a bit high for me. I would expect about 70 for pulse, but I can go down to 60 for pulse after meditation...

I hope the Coronation goes off without mishap and the idiots stay away. I think the Monarchy has been an asset to the Country and Charles has some good ideas.
When he comes to Cumbria he tends to seek out local pubs like the pub in Hesket New Market that brew local cooperative ales, all named after northern fells.
Last time he had a pint of Great Cockup...the name obviously tickled him but it's one of the Caldbeck fells nearer to Skiddaw in the group Knot, High Pike, etc
