What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

"I'll be with you in Apple blossom time..." reminiscent of my youth in Kent. Thank you for that. Enjoying this floral period of your work.
Thank you @Annb

Most of my childhood was split between Kent (Medway Towns) and Nottinghamshire. So I was surrounded by apple orchards, and the hop fields in Kent.

Good morning on a Swipeyless, dry, bright and mild start to a day of probable thunder here in L.A. Naturally, the thunder is due to start at school pickup time. @gennepher sad news about your friend's mum but fascinating what she mum saw. So kind, and typical, of you to support your friend and create the angel. Thanks for the creative - I absolutely know what apple blossom is although not many people grew apples in my part of Cambs. @dunelm how kind of the lorry driver to provide free fun. Thanks for sharing the artwork. Do I live in the only area where bib collection is subject to Bank Holiday rescheduling? @alf_Josiah do pass on my thanks to Mrs A.J. for the wonderful art. Have the best possible day you can with the ingredients provided.
Thank you @ianpspurs

I was not going to mention it, but I wanted to say how peaceful and beautiful the leading to the passing over was, from what my friend was telling me what her mother said. There is comfort in that, whether you believe it is the body's way of shutting down the neural pathways etc, or whether you believe in angels and light beings.

I believe in the latter...

A win for the gentleness of assistance to a friend when most needed.

And of course your love & care that would put Saint Francis of Assisi to shame .(heart)

But my goodness I feel tired just reading about all the interruptions to your sleep, no wonder you're cream crackered...o_O

Rest up as & when you can.
Time to look after YOU .

X
Thank you very much @jjraak

I am by the front window at the moment (cocktail sticks holding my eyelids up!), watching for the deliveries.

I am not much use for anything else today!

xx

Sad news for bird lovers and I guess for us all although I can't claim to know how that impacts the ecosystem. Reading your post prompted me to google reasons for their disappearance - some interesting reasons suggested.
@jjraak @ianpspurs

Interesting link.

I remember seeing the coppicing as a child in Kent, and the guy who did the coppicing also did charcoal burning (that was a skill in itself). I was fascinated coming back day after day to look at the smouldering Earth/wood mounds.

My next 30 year plan (yes, I know I am 73) is to buy a huge tract of natural woodland (either I need a benefactor or a lottery win)l and to the best of my ability manage it to the benefit of wildlife and vegetation...

Everything changes. Everything evolves. We have to work the best we can with what we have....

Morning all on a dry, bright start here in L.A. The promised thunder didn't arrive yesterday but may arrive later today. The Little Guy © will be here again today - child minder has suffered a bereavement - and I have to cross The Real Fens ™ in The Venerable Veehickle for my fortnightly (not the game) drippy trippy. Keto chef pastry worked well for my quiche so some other recipes could be on the cards, pasties and Beef Wellington are suggestions. Relax and enjoy your day - Trump may not win next year - could be an epidemic of common sense :arghh:

Good morning everyone on one of those will it/ won’t it sort of starts the the day here in the dark and dangerous north. The stab me quick seaside laugh-o-meter came in at 5.3 this am - good omens for this weeks international bin day parade. Hope they are still making use of all that bunting from last week. Maybe the guards on the bin cavalcade will wear second hand red and gold over garments. My car passed it’s MOT so will be picking that up shortly and having more money than what the government borrowed prized out of my triple lock purse. Hey ho! It’s only money - yes, but it makes a frugal lifestyle several shades of grey less than John Major wondering why he has been locked up for talking out of turn in class. Art bit, a bit gloomy but never mind. Hope your day is kind to you, best finish my koffy.

Splendid news on the car. Pay out to help out could become "a thing." Thanks for sharing the stunning artwork. John Major eh? My local MP for a while before Gerry mandered some boundaries. He visited the eventually (1991) finished Victory Hall in the village we then inhabited - armed police really were in ditches . Norma wandered freely around the Huntingdon every little helps where she really did buy frozen peas. Enjoy your day.

Acceptable at the moment.

A UK friend is going over to friend in the Netherlands for this next stage of her 'journey', so I can now step down.

My head was literally banging yesterday with everything.

I feel fragile today. I am not as immortal as I once was.

I couldn't paint this morning, not even digitally.
So took photo of seeded dandelion clock, played with it in editing, and here is creative for this morning.

Not all my stuff arrived yesterday. And the Amazon parcels had no time frame, just that they would arrive before 10pm - they arrived at 9pm after me sitting by the window all day so I would not miss them...
One parcel will now arrive next Wednesday, which is very inconvenient. Two small parcels, hopefully letter box friendly will arrive today and tomorrow. Quite frankly I don't care today. I am too sensitive to any noise so my hearing processor is staying in its box today, and the delivery driver can figure out what he wants to do with today's parcel...

Wildlife nighttime cameras
Cats & Fox - Midnight walks behind Fox, & ginger cat is high on cat biscuit scents...

Have your best day.

Mine includes naps...

Brilliant original photo and then great edit to produce a lovely creative.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and those that signed up for break dancing lessons but were asked to leave, and given a total course refund when they asked the instructor if it was OK to park their zimmer frame by the sound system.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.0, ho hum.

Here in Tilehurst Towers carefully made plans were thrown into total disarray when Mrs J’s hospital appointment for this afternoon was cancelled and our plans for a walk with some friends then lunch was cancelled because they both were proper poorly. This suddenly free time has been snatched up. Drat no chance now slobbing the afternoon away.

Note for @SlimLizzy and @gennepher. Me, me’s and myself have 6 of me and I still get overrun by chores, tasks etc. Take a note of how I handle such things, talking of which
I have noticed that the local supermarket customer services counter has been over run with customers, perhaps I should offer to help out, I feel sure my famous diplomacy skills would be an asset for them.

Stay safe all.
