What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Thanks @Lamont D. I washed my car earlier this week. Not a job I’m fond of and like a twit, knelt down to clean the wheels. Like a twit, because if I get down on my hands and knees, I can’t get back up unless I do some forward planning - the pain is excruciating. Luckily Mrs Miggins was in the garden and once we had both stopped laughing, she helped me up. To not dance when I have some physical capability and some mental capacity for hearing the music inside my head may be the biggest mistake in my life. The darkness inches closer but for now I can hold the black dog at bay. On a lighter note, for someone who has everything, buy them penicillin.
I have had the impression that there are many patients everywhere that have not thought things through!
And this will upset the anti woke health and safety aficionados. We lose learning the lessons of caution because we have done it before, so our brains tell us (reluctantly) to get it done! So we do!
risk assessment is for wusses and babies!
And especially in front of our beloveds and nosey parkers, with false confidence and bravado, we tend to end up in pain and sometimes in A&E.
Take care, ourselves can't do it! Ha!

I have been patiently waiting upon the roofers to come and inspect my bay window. Still not here!

Whilst doing some trimming in the garden, a friendly dragonfly came to help, I think! Don't think it is the same dragonfly as the evening before last, but you never know! Cool night with a downpour or two or three. Cloudy morning turning into a pleasant sunny afternoon. Thermometer topping 20 degrees!
Mrs L having an afternoon nap.
I hope I have not outraged my anxiety on y'all! That was not my intentions or any reason to offload, what started as a line of explaining turned into a many chapters of the feelings and musings of how I am!
A terrific Thors day to you all, My best wishes as always.

I had moved to the front window because machinery noises at the back.
But there is a yappy dog at the front. Continuously yapping. It is setting off the other neighbourhood dogs...

I will have to play the radio right by the window. ... or take my sound processor off. But I need my sound processor on to do my wildlife video editing.

Right, where's my dog bark trainer....
It needs charging...
Ah, it can charge and work sending the signal at the same time...

Ahhhh....peace....

I hope the dog is just a visitor and not a permanent addition to one of my neighbours...

Fuchsia flowers always remind me of ballerinas too, Gennepher. The ones in your photo even more so. Thjey are beautiful.

Hug for the coffee spillage and noise issues. Thank you for sharing the photo. You take such wonderful photographs and I like fuschias. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art. As usual the colour transforms the piece. @Annb some versions of the bible translate evil to troubles - much more clear meaning.
Thank you @ianpspurs

Have a great day in the garden. I like dragonflies - great predators who can predict the future position of flying prey.

Good late afternoon on this national bin day. Ladies and Gentlemen.

Blood sugars were 5.0 this morning.

@Lamont D , I have been pondering on your post, then me asked me’s and myself and my other beings to consider your dilemmas, unfortunately we came up with no solutions that would or could possibly help, but do agree with some of the other postings. One of things that invariably lifts my moods is practicing playing my keyboard. I left learning to play till late in life.

Yesterday afternoon walking back through the centre of Reading I was accosted by the the leader of the religious zealots who loves an argument, never listens to any other point, but continues to spout his diatribe on occasions shouting. He stood in my path trying force a leaflet into my hand to no avail, my hands were in my pockets.
I smiled and in a very polite manner said “ Good afternoon” this caused him to pause I then asked him in polite manner “ Would you like to go forth and multiply “ I then carried on walking to stoney silence. He should remember me now and if he has half a brain cell avoid me next week.

I love listening to MY music.
I can't read music or play an instrument including anything percussion. Either you have got it, like my grandson, reading music from five years old, or you haven't, like me! I did try guitar, saxophone, drums and a recorder in school. I don't think I got a right note ever!
Writing songs, poetry and so on. You know in your heart, that it won't gonna happen!I
And my voice, is incredibly bad! I was once told at a footie match to not bother!
We all have different skills and mine are not musical. Except in appreciating and toe tapping along!
Thanks for the suggestion, I have somewhere around 6000 tunes in my account!

Regarding dragonflies I think they a very old and superbly developed group @dunelm. I can see why you like them.

There were similar insects in the Carboniferous but they had 18" wing spans. I do not think they were related to modern dragonflies but an example of Convergence. I think they were so called Griffin Flies. Unlike modern dragonflies and damsels they had no pterostigmas on their wings which gives the modern ones extra flight stability.

I heard some years ago the military were studying dragonflies to see if their amazing flight skills could be imitated.

Helen is sixty today and was at Chester Zoo yesterday, one of her favourite places, today she will be looking at Roman Chester.
Hope she has a very happy day.

Perhaps it's not too wet!
We have had rain overnight and today in prospect is a very wet day in Cumbria, according to the forecast.
Have your best day.
Derek

Ps. I keep getting thwarted going down the Solway to see a Yankee, a Lesser Yellowlegs at Port Carlisle in the creek at low tide.

Morning all and happy birthday to @lindisfel's (and The Duchess obviously) daughter Helen. 5.2 here at 5.55 after some low 3s yesterday despite munching my way though the drip - 2 babybels, keto cookie, keto brownie, large cwc. A keto bagel with hummus on arriving home, lamb ribs with h/m pesto Gennovese :woot:, h/m red cabbage coleslaw (lots of h/m mayo):woot: for evening meal. Thanks be to God and the Food Fairy. I still needed - well, leaped at the opportunity of, a 9 pm dessert spoon (or two just to be sure) of PB and some aspirational crisps. Seems going Deeply Drippy lowers my bg very effectively which the continuous data showed up vividly. It is SSS (wild, line and gill net caught so mildly woke) day here after dropping grandson at stage school in the home of British horse racing. Y'all have a great day.
Edit: Bg was never low when I was driving.

Dragonfly drones have been used in agriculture for about 20 years and both NASA and the military are now developing them. Porton Down have made some interesting surveillance drones, very small, about the size of the palm of your hand.

Good morning everyone on an overcast start to an overcast day here in the decidedly dark and dangerous north. It’s a bit rainy but never mind, better than being in a drought. 5.8 this am. Pots put away from last nights washing up and exercises done. Also, now that Mrs Miggins is up, bed made. Latest from the Zoe study indicates that ultra processed foods damage your brain: https://zoe.com/learn/podcast-ultra...aign=newsletter_week68_zsn&utm_content=2-68-2. Blimey, (No S… Sherlock) never would have guessed. Garbage in, garbage out. My body is a temple. One not too careful owner. Lots of restoration work needed. Art bit, mixed media, acrylics and Chinese ink. Probably going to play around with it. Happy birthday to Helen @lindisfel and I hope everyone has a pleasant day. I shall reward myself with another koffy.
