What was your fasting blood glucose? (full on chat)

Do you mean Eadnoth the Staller also known as Eadnoth the constable 1030 to 1086 perhaps.
That's the fella. I was a bit puzzled because he was said to be Anglo-Saxon but also a prince of Denmark but Neil suggests that that was possibly because part of England at the time was under the rule of Cnute (the Danelaw) and he could have been the son of a Danish/Anglo Saxon high status marriage. Now I have to write it all up.

He was born in Bristol but his father was Sven Estridsen who was king of Denmark I believe his half brother was Canute he is in my family tree also.

I have English Scottish and Danish DNA with a few others thrown in.

Good Happy Sunday Morening fellow posters and painters.
This afternoon we have been invited to a hog roast to be held in the little hamlet at the foot of the famous White Horse Hill.
Please be patient while I explain.

Hog is the nickname given to Harley Davidson motorcycles otherwise known as Milwalkee tractors.

Well no they will not be roasting one of those.

They will be roasting a hopefully dead pig, otherwise I might have to take my ear plugs, just think of the squealing.
Second thoughts I shall take them anyway so I won't have to listen to Mrs J telling me off for imagined inappropriate words and actions.
Third thoughts I don’t think I’ll go, that way I won’t be in trouble.
Fourth thoughts the pork will really screw up my blood sugars.

Be nice all .

Good morning everyone from a wet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.6 on the prosthetic brain this morning. Crispy duck last night, very pleasant with home made dipping sauce - none of that bottled sugar thank you. Today is another day of mystery and imagination - well, until Mrs Miggins gets up and then who knows what silently scheduled activities will suddenly become clear. Rugby yesterday - very nearly the year of the dragon but it was a game of two halves and as two halves make a whole - the reds fell into it. Art bit - feeling lazy, don’t rock the boat. Hope your day is good to you. Nothing hears yet from @lindisfel. Koffy, must make koffy.

That was exactly the scene across the footie pitches this early daylight.
Play Misty for me.
The shading and hues are very good.

The arch duchess of graphics.
Where does it lead to?
Lovely.

@gennepher thank you for sharing that mysterious creative which fits perfectly with a mind bending exegesis I read this morning. Basically as far as I could tell the writer was saying if we try to read people's thoughts in their faces they can see what we are doing., we can see that they know what we are doing and anyhow we both just see our own reflected in their eyes and faces. How that explains 2 Corinthians I'm not sure BUT it fits that mysterious creative as in who knows where all this is leading? Is this an experience you have encountered with lip reading? Have a song
Thank you @ianpspurs

Obviously lipreading as part of the conversation process, I do look more intently at people's faces. People just think I am concentrating, which I am.

But lipreading as part of the eavesdropping process, I never look directly at the person. It is extremely rare for anyone to realise I am eavesdropping lipreading them. Their head looks up quickly, almost immediately, like they have picked something up. But I am not looking directly at them, so I don't look away or react...

6.4 this sunday.
Footie day was spoiled by stomach, team losing, and fretting about Mrs L, last evening.

The weather is dry ish. But still cool. My facts are a few days away and I can't believe the abundance of growth.
Never been to a bun dance!

Someone mentioned the dark ages, as it is referred to. Ethelred and Cnut.
And royalty mentioned.
I was quite impressed with the diversity of our heritage.
The DNA of most of us, has a Northman (Norse) origin. With quite a diverse eclectic in all human major groups of clans, tribes, nations. Races.
I have, being blond (limited) blue eyes Caucasian. Lots of Viking (Norse) DNA. My skin betrays this, as someone in my ancestors history, having olive skin. My aunt's on my dad's side, and their children had the same. I do have traces of Mediterranean DNA, also some scots, celt, Briton and a few others. Even some irish!
How do I fill in those pesky forms?
Am I white british?
Or a coffee coloured inhabitant , sung about in the seventies?
This is the main reason, I cannot be racist.

Dreams, two!

Last night was a doozie!
Trapped in the ground again. Struggling painful hands, arthritis kicking off. Can't get my hands warm!

Second was stranger. Weirder!

Was walking through houses, flats, taking short cuts to get ....wherever.
Meeting people, saying hi. Walking through like I know them. A hug or two. The a dog was thrown at me from a window above, a small terrier, that joined me with someone young, a boy who wouldn't stop talking, as we went through another house, through French windows, onto the street, that was dark with street lighting., No traffic, just walking into a park, I have no idea where.... Sitting on a park bench, watching the stars.
Woke up.

Wondering, about Valentine's!

It was time for Mrs L 's meds. I thought a cuppa and some water would do it. However as I sat on the bed to wake her, her eyes opened and told me, it was my turn to see to the baby, then named our youngest, and then a short period of remonstratration about not getting up again.
I let her be.

My best wishes to you all as always.

I too am concerned shout Derek. @lindisfel

Thank you @Lamont D
It leads you to wherever your imagination leads to...
One of my top five songs of all time is the Temptation's...... Just My Imagination.
I love stargazing.
I like my trekkie stuff.
I have been set goals by my counsellor as part of my treatment.
I could wish for a lot of things.
I could set goals.
But in reality and the anxiety.
My Imagination is on hold, but I can hope, and keep battling.
Keep the artwork and mystery coming.

Oh you would need a whole bunch of fancy pronouns if you were a citizen of the USA but then, everything is bigger - or longer - in the USA.

That's great information. My grandmother's ancestors were Hardings, so that is the line I was following. Never managed to afford to get a DNA test although I would love to and, once I don't have new heating systems to pay for, I will put something aside for that.

Edit: So a very distant cousin of some sort.

Yes it would seem so a bit tenuous bit still a connection.

Good morning everyone on a, so far day for Gloria here in the dark and dangerous north. 5.8 this am and quite flat throughout then night. Which is nice as we were out at an Indian restaurant celebrating our daughter’s birthday. We only have the one - I’m not getting suckered into being a miserable and nasty old King Lear. Anyhow I don’t have to worry about non-existent power or land. Spent an hour or so blanching and freezing a load of veg that I over bought. Frozen veg might just have been easier to purchase in the first place. Half term - the Girl In The Bubble will be upon us. I have set up the art room with a roll of wallpaper backing paper, paints and brushes for a bit of fun but with this sunshine we may well be going down to the swings and slides this morning. Art bit - ink on a bamboo ink pen. Hope your day is a percentile above the norm. Best finish my koffy.

Creative...
I woke up in the night, so decided to do my secret doorway. Woke up this morning and couldn't find it, then found it under my pillow.

So, black pen and a waterbrush on a post card and a wee bit of white pen added just now...

All doors and windows open.
Clear blue skies.
Sun is touching the tops of my trees.
Cat Chunky Marmalade is availing himself of the cat food I have just put out.
Male Blackbird is scolding him from a high vantage point.
All is well with the world.
Except Midnight.
Because I turned him upside down trying to rummage through my bedcovers for my secret doorway drawing.
He is sulking because he was warm and comfy before I moved the bedcovers.
I did try to move him gently, but he had refused to move.
Oh dear, Chunky Marmalade has just come in my bedroom to avail himself of Midnight's breakfast (I did say all doors & windows were open for fresh air...).
Midnight has objected, and Chunky has just fled with Midnight hard on his tail.
All is not well with the the world...

Don't let little things upset you.
Have your best day.

Oh what a beautiful morning.
Time for a cuppa...

5.3 this morning. Had a lovely relaxing day yesterday.

We just did gentle dog walks around our village and my foot is completely pain free. I am still keeping steps quite low and will gradually build up the steps during the week.
...and still do your intermittent chair rests while teaching even though you are pain free, just for a few days @Krystyna23040

We all think we are superhuman (me included)...
