I firmly believe our choice of foods is 99 per cent habit. That said, even habits of a lifetime can be modified or replaced for good, if there's a desire to do so.

It helps to focus on the many delicious foods we can safely eat, and not dwell too much on those that we really shouldn't have.

I really enjoy my food, it must be said, and seldom feel the need to deviate from my LCHF lifestyle these days, but then I've had more than 20 years practice!

The one LC item I missed more than anything while we were away was my new Biona organic crunchy peanut butter which has a little bit of sea salt in it. Since childhood I have hated any food with salt in but surprisingly I really love this peanut butter.

My uncle Bill always kept a bucket of water handy for just those sort of occasions by the window above the front door.
My great grandfather was a bit of a troublemaker as well he used to regularly get ejected from the city council’s meetings for heckling the councillors.
 
5.4 this morning. Beautiful sunshine this morning. We kept away from the trees in the park as it is quite windy.

Yesterday I sent out the June timetables to all class members.

Before Covid I used to mailmerge a letter to each class member (21 classes altogether) and attach a timetable and then hand them out in the class.

Over Covid, as I was teaching on Zoom, I moved onto sending BCC emails to each class with timetable attached. So much faster and easier to do. So I have finally moved into the 21st century.
 
Morning all from L.A. in the Brecks cum epitome of left behindness. Presumably why Nick Timothy has been chosen to replace Matty Boy and work his magic on the local JAMS. Ideal man for the citizens of nowhere. From our driveway turn right twice and travel 200 yards and one is in the ersatz fens: giveaway clue, the soil ain't black. Travel about half a mile further and there is the American military industrial complex red in tooth and claw surrounded by thousands of pigs and fields of tumbleweed. Quite, quite bizarre. No known fbg, sorry readers. @dunelm thank you for sharing the last two pieces of art and the very on point memory loss zinger. @gennepher thanks for the video and creative yesterday. Today is self awareness day - see attached. Canvassers? I can honestly say so far in my life I have never had any. Presumably because it has always been assumed that one could stick a blue rosette on a bag of human waste and it would be elected. I am tempted to say and it has happened a few times. Enjoy your Saturday now it is apparently summer - another Brexit bonus I must have misunderstood.

Hope the scan brings a result you want. It certainly isn't much fun getting older with all the baggage that goes with it - otherwise we'd all be happy to go on forever, or until boredom made us want to end it all. :bored:

I live a few minutes from the centre of town, give minutes more through the tunnel to the city.
But the green space surrounding my home is decent with plenty of birdlife. Constant birdsong during the day. And I am aware that there must be similar areas around you.
Do you have to move, mate?

I have had Labour and greens before, but never a tory.

Living in a solid Labour stronghold, a tory is as rare as RH is!

In the constituency of High Peak. The sitting tory, has had advertising done in red, with the slogan.......Labour with.. Name.
That is how desperate and despicable these tory people are.

7.0 this penultimate day before #7 birthday Saturday.
being a Saturday, is at gymnastics, and we bought her, along with other goodies, a new leotard for her upcoming competitions. In the gymnastics glittery colours of course.
#8 has been round for a couple of hours mayhem and chaos.

love of beautiful sunshine for a few hours this morning after a cool start, it is now really cool again. Lots of deep cloud cover and a northerly breeze. If this is summer......?

I woke up tired, I had a good sleep, nothing untoward or different.
But I can't get my energy levels up. Going through the motions.
Gonna try have a nap, while Mrs L has one.

I will be back later.

I've come to the conclusion that we no longer have a garden - looking out of our back door we are now confronted by a veritable forest! All that can be seen is the front line of trees and then dark depths where there used to be paths. The only clearance is what used to be the drying green but now sports grasses about 10 inches tall. With all that's been going on, Neil has had no chance to get out to cut the grass down to size. The garden was designed with wildlife in mind and I can only hope that somewhere in there the wild creatures are having the time of their lives.

My own patch looks less like a garden and more like a miniature nature reserve!

A bullfinch! What a treat! @lindisfel Shy birds, but their numbers seem to be on the increase in British and Irish gardens.
