Smashing FBGFbg this morning at 05.30 4.7.
I love this calming minimalist art bit.... @dunelmGood morning everyone on what might be a bit of a chilly start here in the dark and dangerous north. A busy morning of excitement today; veteran’s breakfast club (with 20% off this time), farmer’s market with all those greengrocerer’s apostrophe’s and then a shift on the poppy stall. Art bit - a bit minimalist but I stopped there. Hope your day is exciting - in a good way. The universe is change, life is opinion. I need some koffee.
Great fbg and wonderful to see you @karen8967 Take the very best care of yourself and all you hold dear, you have a special place in the hearts of people here.4.8 for me have a good weekend everyone![]()

Thank you for sharing the video and creative of the trees on the skyline. I'm thinking the birds are pigeons and this is the dust cover for the soundtrack - lyrics may well be a heartfelt lament for swathes of the USA. I'm slightly discombobulated after Trump 2 but the attached made I larf, how else does one make sense of it all unless .......Fbg 6.7

Three Badgers - Ma & Pa & Boy Badger
This Badger family, at least Ma & Pa have been visiting since 2022. They seem to spend pretty much the whole night between my back garden and my front garden. It is a safe route where they come from the woods at the back of me and along my dead-end road for about half a dozen houses and into my garden. I am glad they don't go any further afield because there are busy roads at the very far end of my road where the traffic speeds.
They eat the worms, the snails, and slugs, and mice, and the bigger version of a mouse...
They eat all my berries, that are edible to me, and berries that are not edible to me.
They wreck my vegetable gardens, but they leave the herbs alone. My tree kale and tree cabbage they leave alone because I barricaded them in with a fireguard, but now, a few years later, the tree kale is over10 foot tall, and is well established, and still growing taller...it is difficult to pick off the leaves now. Even though the cabbage white butterflies caterpillars completely decimated all the leaves this summer stripping it back to just a tree trunk, it is literally growing back beautifully now.
I am still racking my brains how to make some high raised beds for salads and stuff, and what could I utilize.... without spending a fortune or anything (!)... I had a bit of an idea last night.... And I do have another very long metal fire guard which would be of some help...
There were some noises outside last night, and I assume it was the Badger but my cochlear sound processor makes it sound like the noises are actually in my bedroom, and I panicked for a bit thinking something had got into my bedroom, but I closed the window and the noise was less so it was outside.

Any possibility of putting up some kind of hanging planters? Or something screwed to a wall too high for badgers to reach?Fbg 6.7

Lovely trees on the skyline. Saw some raised beds in Norway this year. They looked like lined orange boxes on legs and seemed to do quite well.Fbg 6.7

Proportionally more or less than here in the UK? In Clacton-a-largo and Kemiworld the betting seems to be on less because they need it to be more to sustain 2 spite (I'm being careful there) filled parties of the right.
