Creative is a kaleidoscope of one of my kitchen surfaces. I was waiting for my eggs to boil...

My HRV reading this morning was a little higher which is good. All I have done on the list of suggestions to improve it was do some meditation and breathing exercises when I went to bed. And the other thing was to keep my sound processor on when I went to bed (I normally take this off because it falls off in the night and I can never find it in the morning), and I used a couple of hair grips to keep it in place, and I played some meditation music. I fell asleep with it on and when I needed the bathroom a couple of hours later, I disconnected it all. Both things were simple and easy to do and didn't take up any extra of my time.

The app told me this morning, my body was very slightly out of balance, and to pace myself carefully.
When I got out of bed, I noticed a difference from yesterday how I walked when I immediately got out of bed. I had a better sense of walking balance this morning. Yesterday my walking balance was not good, and the app told me my body was very much out of balance. This morning the app just tells me my body is slightly out of balance.

There appears to be at least some correlation between the app telling me how much my body is out of balance, and what my actual walking balance is when I get out of bed.

Yesterday the app was right, I did have to pace myself. All my energy/spoons was used up doing the food shop,
Normally when I got home, I would push myself to get through the rest of the day, but then I will crash about 6 pm and not be able to do anything in the evening nor be able to sleep properly. So I ended up doing a lot of sleeping yesterday because I was no nouse nor ornament for doing most things. Consequently, I did not crash at 6 pm and I was able to do a few nightly chores wash the posts etc. So far this app appears to be of some help to me.

I won't bore you anymore with this. But it seems worthwhile continuing with this app at the moment. I am trying to be the best possible I can be before the cataract operation.

Have the best day you possibly can.
Take care...

Very interesting app @. Definitely worth while continuing with

Covfefe all on a start to Tuesday which here at least defies one to see God's glory in the outside world however hard one looks. Indoors is entirely different. The key question of the day is did the three bears have syrup in their porridge as well Granddad? Playing Eddie Reader works a charm to restore the smile to a 3 year old's face after a Nasty "sermon.". Grandson has chicken pox so, as pre-school is out, he slept over in order to save JKP crossing The (Real) Fens at stupid O'clock. The scowl and nasty sermon? Nanny seems intent on winding him up by mentioning not to itch - the face on him is then a classic. Where have we seen that reaction before :D Eddie Reader? (behave yourself, not the True version of Hail to the Chief) we had Goldilocks (the perfect version) before sleep time. @dunelm thank you for sharing the art, doubtless technically splendid once again. @gennepher good news on the app appearing to do the job and thank you for sharing the kaleidoscope. @JohnEGreen I gave a winner for the AF settling down today and the scooter now being fit for purpose. @Krystyna23040 you deserve a winner just for putting shimmy out there. John and Genn, I googled Visible - since I'm beyond repair seems like its not for me. That's The Weave for today, now make Tuesday great again MTGA hats on - people are saying its the best Tuesday ever.
Than you @ianpspurs

Did seem to be a whatsit ton of money when I'm pretty sure my back and legs are amazing at telling me to stop.
I have a problem there @ianpspurs
Either I am in too much pain to start something, or my back & legs etc do not tell me when to stop. I don't have that warning signal that you have. I do not find out til I sit down and then I cannot move because of the pain, and it can take days to ease...
That is why I was thinking of the armband...

Armband sounds ideal for you.

With regards to the swazticar....

Creative...kaleidoscope from my painting I found while tidying up....

Looks like no rain today and a bit of sun from time to time. According to the weather app.
I'll have a nap now and as soon as the sun comes out, I'll go out in the garden....

Have an amazing day....do something new...

Take care....

Good morning everyone on a deliciously quiet start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north. Mind I did get up before 6am so having a marvelous dose of quiet. Intermittent rain yesterday so walk into town was like judging the timing of jumping into a double Dutch skipping rope. Lunch - to avoid another bout of rain and then back. My 10,000 steps broke suffice by mid afternoon. Film night - well, on the jelly vision - Operation Mincemeat - same plot as the earlier version called The Man Who Never Was but with better colour. Taking Mrs Miggins’ brother out to lunch today. He seems to have lost the courage to get out very much. Monthly market error - not this Saturday after all but the one after - I have lost interest in calendars, relying more on the changing sands of up to the nano second notifications of events from Mrs Miggins. Art bit - it Paynes me to mention the fence. Hope your day moves forward smoothly. I shall treat myself to another koffy.

Fbg this morning 5.6 very reasonable.
It’s sometimes surprising what you can learn through researching family history yesterday came across a guy called John Harrington a Godson of Queen Elizabeth and he among is many accomplishments it seems is credited with the invention of the flushing toilet now there’s something I never Knew nor ever really had thought about.

Absolutely brilliant find @JohnEGreen

Love it @dunelm
And then I saw it...
A curly headed dog (or cat) standing upright, with stick legs, it being the middle two trees of the row of trees...

Quite a dramatic painting sir ...jolly nice

Morning all (just). Currently sunny here at least in our lounge. Second sleepover night with the Little Guy didn't go so well. Partly due to more - what? - chickens? poxes? and partly due to him choosing the wrong side of the bed - the radiator side - and getting too hot, itchy and frustrated. Multiple more serious problems here and in the world outside but hand on heart none of them tug at my heart strings anywhere near that. Its who we are guys. @gennepher sorry if my reaction to the app and armband came over as a tad off. Thanks for sharing the kaleidoscope. @dunelm thank you for sharing today's art which I liked very much. Taste/reaction is odd/weird since all this series are accomplished but some just strike a chord. Its not you its me :D Snakes?

It's great what you can learn when delving into family history - brings the taught history into focus. Clever man that John Harrington. I'd heard the name before - not one of mine - and that he had invented the flushing toilet. I'm impressed by the religious martyrs in my family tree and that has led me to discover much more about intolerance back than and now. Also found a lady who was called a Saracen (as well as some ancient Jews) which has led me to trying to find out who Saracens actually were (we're talking pre-Christian times here, not the people known as Saracens because they were Moslem). The fact that she is named must mean that she, or her family, had some status in those days and probably that she married either a roman or a roman client. I'm even more of a mongrel than I realised. Didn't show up on my DNA read-out but then, it must be such a miniscule component that it couldn't be identified.

BG at 04.00 today was 8.9. Not good. Still 7.9 after insulin and breakfast.

It's a bright sunny day here and not particularly cold. Not exactly warm, but it is only January.

Hi @ianpspurs
Yes, I admit it, your reaction to the app and armband did come over as a tad off and flippant. Hence me trying to explain a little bit about my problem. But don't worry, I am over it. All is good.
I am still exploring other options...and have ordered some second hand books (found free copies of the books to read on the Internet Archive, not easy to read an entire book on that, but I can skim through and decide if it is worth ordering) books are cheap but the postage isn't. My friend had cancelled our meeting today, and so I put off ordering the armband, because it could come next week when we meet and I am out. Books are arriving from tomorrow to next couple of days. So, I can still consider what to do.
Thank you for liking the kaleidoscope.

Sorry my reaction came across as flippant. One thing I have noticed is that almost all posters, if not everyone, on here play down their issues and even in sharing some they seem to deliberately avoid sharing the full story. After your post explaining how you don't get warning signals in the same way as me I realised how crass my post seemed. At the stage I posted I honestly felt your main focus was how much it would cost rather than how important the extra data would be.

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen and those who smile in the face of adversity, blaming the smile on wind.

Blood sugars this morning were 5.5

It’s interesting to see various posters family history and the pleasure they derive from the research. One day some academic will claim to have traced his tree back to Lucy. This academic will have their claim verified by their Aunt Flo……

Must now dash.

I don't think Lucy or her relatives could write, so there were no records - not even held by Aunt Flo. That's a pity and very remiss of those ancient folk.

Had a very interesting discussion/lecture with Neil this morning about how people spread from Africa and the various stages of development of humanoids. I had imagined that neanderthals originated in Africa and spread from there, but apparently not so. Their ancestors seem to have left Africa much earlier and only then developed into neanderthals somewhere around the Levant before spreading into Europe, although he tells me that there were some traces of neanderthal genes in North Africa, but then, they did have boats, so could have travelled backwards and forwards. It's all much less clear-cut than I had imagined.

Thank you @ianpspurs
I detailed the cost initially just to do an analysis of what was involved, and it caused me to think/consider the things I speak of below. It was not my main focus, but an important consideration.

I was exploring all considerations, including the cost, and likely cost of hidden extras which we are not always told about. What batteries does it use? How much should they cost? Are they easily obtainable in the UK? The batteries need replacing at least every 4 to 5 days. Am I stuck in having to order batteries specifically from them? This device comes from America and I presume it's shipped from there, unless they have a European depot? But I cannot find info on that. Who gives all these glowing reviews? Are they mostly/all from North America. How easy is it to replace the armband if something goes wrong? Do I have to pay for a replacement, or do they? And do they pay the p&p for that replacement, because it costs them less from the states to send you something to the UK, than if I have to arrange it from this end, which can prove stupidly astronomical. As I have found in the past.

The costs soon mount up when you consider the batteries could cost more than the monthly payment of the app. So you are talking in excess of £40 plus each month once you take batteries into consideration.

Or maybe it is not batteries but it is rechargeable? If that is the case, then you are unable to wear it while recharging. So, possibly nighttime charging. How long does it take to recharge? The next question I have is how many recharging cycles will the armband take before it needs to be replaced.

I'll be sending them an email tomorrow to ask these questions....

I must admit I didn’t realise it was so complex a decision and all that you need to consider please let us know what you decide .
