9.3 at 03.20 today. Got to bed before midnight, hence the earlier than usual rise. Been asleep in the chair since - that's the effect painkillers have - but am awake now and just had breakfast.

It has been raining here - not heavily - but now the sun is out but the wind is building up - giving the trees quite a shake around.

7.6 this morning. A much better number than yesterday.
So interesting how stress affects blood sugar and also it seems to have affected my appetite as I am not hungry at all.

Had a lovely morning at Gooderstone Water Gardens. Very very gentle meandering around. The water lillies are just starting to flower.
It is just so peaceful there.

8.9, falling to 7.5 an hour later. Same pattern as yesterday, which is hopeful. Had a couple of readings below 5 yesterday evening which is a record low for me.

Windy here, and blowing from an unusual direction that makes the toilet door bang loudly. Bright and sunny nonetheless so will make the most of a lazy day, fingers crossed.

Good afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen.

This morning was unintentionally devoted to sleep.

Blood sugars are still being controlled by the hospital and are running high. Never mind, one will do as one is told.

Well, the magpie is now flying a different direction, and not up my passageway...the bunting helped, and the fluttering notices I made helped also, and the tops of the trees that were cut off long ago, placed in the planters, make it hard for a bigger bird to fly through and land......and the magpie has taken to climbing into people's open windows again...

I had two ravens searching for food... but I can't put any food out for the birds otherwise that will attract that magpie back again...

Tonight, when I was putting food out for the cats supper, the female blackbird was back again and came up to the kitchen doorstep, and took some cat biscuits.

Midnight is very interested in the car at the moment. And yesterday as I was taking the shopping in, I came back to find Midnight sitting on car back seat.

So my creative today is Midnight sitting on the backseat.

We have had a little rain, but not much. I have all doors and windows open at the moment, hoping this will cool the bungalow but the roof space is still holding the heat...

Just going to make a cup of tea...

Take care

I had to laugh this morning.
I went upstairs to fetch a morning cuppa, and laid out her clothes to wear.
I had washing to see to, and I went back down to the kitchen and was hanging out the washing in this wind. I came back in and couldn't here anything. I started with the dishes. When I heard a shout.
I ran (as fast I could) upstairs., To find Mrs L in the bath. Cold water in. Locked herself in.
I had to bust the lock.
And it took another ten minutes to get Mrs L out the bath. Mrs L was very cold.
Mrs L has been told repeatedly, not to get in the bath. And can't shower without help.
Why?
Mrs L honestly believed, she was at least twenty years younger. And forgot about her back until it started hurting as the bath was filling then couldn't reach the hot tap.
I had to change clothes, I was very wet as was the floor of the bathroom.
Chores galore but it was funny, looking at Mrs L floundering.
I must not laugh really.

This is so hard you know?

Best wishes.

Yes we do know and truly empathise @Lamont D. We went through so many challenges when caring for mum. Just when you think you have everything covered something totally unexpected arises for you to deal with! Sometimes once dealt with they can make us smile but nevertheless it is exhausting. You are doing very well. Hope you receive all the help you can access asap. Best wishes.

Good morning all. A shocking 11.3 this morning! Had a disturbed night with horrible flashbacks of mum's last hours followed by indigestion. It's strange that when I go to bed late I sleep well but when I go to bed earlier than usual I take a long time to settle. Also the advice not to use lap tops etc before bed doesn't work for me. Reading and using my laptop tires me out and I sleep better. Does anyone else find this or am I just weird? LOL Just watching the antics of the jay, magpie, collared dove and squirrel outside the back window which always put a smile on our faces. Best wishes for the bank holiday. :)

8.0 at 05.20 today.

Bright sunshine outside at the moment, but a few minutes ago there was a really heavy, noisy, rainstorm.

Just about to try to phone the dentist. My false tooth plate has lost a bit off one corner, and developed a crack right across one side. Any pressure on the teeth and the crack opens up a bit. I tried to chew a Brazil nut and that was the result. Meantime I'll have to try to keep to soft foods. The plate isn't repairable so it'll be a new one, and that will take a while. Just what I need.

Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen

Have you idea how difficult it is to try and write a posting while constantly falling asleep,
I now do zzzzzzzzzzz
I do that all the time - day or night.

The dentist is working today, even though it is a bank holiday. Maybe it's just an English bank holiday. I always get mixed up. Anyway, I have an appointment to see the dentist on Friday. Just hope the plate lasts out until Friday, or I'll be walking around with a face mask to avoid anyone seeing my toothless grin.

I was going to work in my garden all day, but alas as soon as I set everything out, the rain started, and the rain carried on.

I put everything on the swing, these are some new felt tips especially for me....but alas they are all now wet...

I came in and made lunch... it was still raining so I fell asleep the next couple of hours.... I don't know whether to fall back asleep again whether to try again, it is still raining...

Creative is my wet creative stuff you can see on my green garden table.....

I think I have the brain of candy floss at the moment....

Oh and it's cold outside, fur jacket weather. But indoors is still bikini weather....

My body does not know what to do... neither do , because I am trying to check up on tomorrow's recycle collection, and neither I nor my address exist again, but the message came up that the council has reported it to themselves....

Another cup of tea and I think I will shut my eyes again...

Have a good day, the best you can....

I am the same. I sleep much better after reading and using my tablet.

6.5 this morning.
We had a lovely relaxing day. Took Bonnie to the Bushy Tails dog park this afternoon to do some recall training. She was so good. This time she wasn't scared of the tunnels.

This evening I switched from ice to heat. Am definitely feeling much less sore - even though the bruising is still very spectacular.

I couldn't find my kindle this evening. I had only put it in the freezer with the ice packs. Luckily, once it had defrosted, it switched back on and is working perfectly.
