Not heard of either of those doctors. Dr Ken D Berry seems to be an MD and Dr Sten Ekberg seems to be a Chiropractor. Can't quite remember but I think BG was 7.9 at 0350 today. Not great but not as bad as sometimes. Down to 5.5 now though, so - apart from the yo-yoing - it's not bad.
Said to be 15C outside today and a slight breeze, but the slight breeze is whipping our trees around again, so it's a bit more than the 5 mph the BBC weather site says.
I'm using too much insulin recently, to keep my BG under reasonable control, so am going to have to crack down on the small amount of carbs I have been having, right back to keto levels, or even carnivore. I've been looking for information online and found a couple of American doctors who seem to be giving good advice, on YouTube, but I don't know how good they are. Has anyone heard of Dr Ken D Berry, or Dr Sten Ekberg?
A lovely daub from your sketchbook @dunelmGood morning everyone on a much cooler and thankfully drizzly start to the day here in the dark and dangerous north.
5.2 this a.m.
It’s reunion time again this weekend - class of 1968, what is left of us and who can make the trip. One blind, another on one leg, some scars not to be seen. As I prepare, I am reminded about duty and circumstance and applaud @Lamont D for his fortitude. Our duty, whatever it may be, is rarely easy but it is important. It’s also usually the harder choice, but we must do it.
On a lighter note, I had some disaster relief duties yesterday - replacing my tea mug, the crack in it finally finding it just too much; ‘this is my tea mug, there are many like it but this one is mine’ - I know, of little importance really and nothing profound occurred like it did when Diogenes gave up his only bowl or the transformation of Silas Marner when he lost all his gold - still, another few years and it could have appeared on the antiques road show.
Art bit - not been doing much lately so just a daub from my sketchbook.
I hope your day is a cool one. I need to finish my koffy.
SmashingFbg this morning 6.5
I was clearing out my stuff, and I found this painting... so this is my creative for today...

I have had to drop to somewhere between 12g to 15g of carbs a day to get my blood sugars back to lower levels @AnnbCan't quite remember but I think BG was 7.9 at 0350 today. Not great but not as bad as sometimes. Down to 5.5 now though, so - apart from the yo-yoing - it's not bad.

Morning all from L.A. on a sunny start to the Eve of mass cookout and fireworks. Fbg was 4.7 this morning at 7.25 and is now (10.15) 4.9. @gennepher hug for the power cut - do we now say outage? Thank you for sharing the creative. Yesterday I managed more steps than I have for a long time as well as watching rugby, cricket and tennis. I am watching more sport as I am largely based on my own in the dining room which has the only chair my back can now tolerate for long. The step count was due to me moving more frequently. Slightly sore today but my back is o.k. We need new sofas and have tried some, of which one set worked for my back and JKP liked. Have a good Thursday if possible everyone.
A successful day @dunelmGood morning everyone on a so far blue Savanah song sort of day.
5.4 this a.m.
Quick trip to opticians this morning with Mrs Miggins and then back to find the washing now dry and the day still young.
Out to lunch with family and then packing for the weekend - a five minute job really.
Art bit - another bit of blending practice in my sketchbook.
Hope your day is a pleasant one; more get to do rather than have to do.
