More painting.
More tidying after the little bit of rain we did get.
Very warm and windy. Beautiful blue skies.
Mrs L had a fall this morning, but no harm done.
I had a lie in. Slept ten ten hours ish. Mrs L disturbed my sleep at least four times. But I think I'm get ting back to the bad days before respite.
my hands are cramping around mid evening as I get tired.
and my neck has had better days.
I'm fine, really, honestly.
Teatime, gotta go.
Enjoy France @dunelm
Enjoy your new box @Annb.
Stay cool @gennepher..Best wishes the rest of you......
I'm fine just tired.

catching up with posts gradually, but now is time to make tea for MrSlim
9.05am FBG 6.4 coffee, hope that will help. Am sure a day or two of minimal food is required after the excesses of the last few days.
Need to sort out the fridge, and catch up with laundry and gardening tasks.
Several very large courgettes and many beans to cook or freeze.

4.6 at 06.30 today. I slept in again.

Podiatry today, but a bit later on. My appointment has to be the last in the day so that I can take off my bandages and not have to leave my legs to their own devices for too long. Their own devices meaning swelling to twice their normal size - that's why the bandaging, which is done on Thursday mornings.

Bright and sunny here at the moment, with a slight breeze. Lovely.

Just found another suspicious lesion on my face so I'll need to see a GP to get that checked out. It's been there a long time, but now is growing and is rough. I'll try talking to a receptionist tomorrow at the Health Centre. If that's no use, I'll get in touch with the Practice Manager and see what she can do. Some of these things they leave alone, others need to be cut out because they are malignant, but I don't know how they tell the difference. So far I've had 4 malignant ones cut out of my face - that's why it looks the way it does.

Alistair just came in and he thinks it is worth getting someone to look at the lesion. I can't see it, it is on my jaw, just in front of my ear so I'm wasting my time trying to see it in the mirror.

More serious than that, Alistair fell and hurt his shoulder and neck about 2 years ago and when the pain didn't go away, he was told that it was probably arthritis. Now he is having trouble using his arms (not good for a postman who has to deliver parcels), and back and can't take strong enough pain killers to deal with the pain he is in because, of course, he is driving most of the day. He managed to see a GP who now thinks it might be an injury after all and is sending him to Glasgow for an MRI scan. When that will be, who knows?

His options now are: take long term sick leave and hope some treatment is possible to get him back to work or to take early retirement and take medication to deal with the pain. He has gone on for as long as he can and has reached this point now.

5.5 this morning.

Actually had a lovely day. Shopping in Aldi and Tesco. Walking Bonnie in the park.
.
Emailing timetables and class info to Monday and Tuesday classes and lots of other admin (plus quite a lot chatting with my sister as we worked in the upstairs office).. Plus had time to do some reading and of course, drinking the all important coffee.

I am still tidying sorting and cleaning out...

I am very tired tonight.

Good night....

The same is happening I cannot upload a photo on this site anymore. Nor any of my work...

8.3 at 05.00 today. I know why that is, but I'm not telling you.

The sun has come up and it is reflecting a bright red on the white walls of the house over the road, there's some high cloud also reflecting the sun, so it's red sky in the morning, shepherd's warning. To add to the picture, there's also a rainbow. It's beautiful, but I'll bet it'll be raining in a bit.

Em is 13 today. I intended to make a cake for her yesterday but I was exhausted after going to see the podiatrist (at least I can get my socks on without catching my nails on them) so I've been making it this morning. It's in the oven now and when it is done, I'll be able to go and have my shower. Lemon drizzle is ready to go on so I'm doing not too badly. Just about to have my 2nd cup of coffee.

Soo stiff and sore this morning, but that was because of the effort I had to make yesterday - no parking spaces within 1/4 mile of the surgery so Neil had to drop me outside and go off and find a parking space while I had to wobble in to the surgery - not far but further than I would normally manage. Boy did that hurt! Still, I made it and was quite pleased with myself. Paying for it today. Still, that's the way it goes and it's not unexpected.

As usual feeling a bit flat after visitors have left. And exhausted.
Need to go to P.O. and bank today. Also to get more recycling bags, we have finally used up the supply of yellow bags found here.
Short walk, no need to take the car, which is one of the reasons we moved.
The kitchen is now functional, am reading manuals to determine how things work. Have found that the dishwasher is responsive to accidental touches, so searching for a childlock. Also applying
childlock when cleaning the induction hob. And have managed a minimal amount of cooking on that. The oven controls are a mystery still.
Unfortunately have taken a dislike to the extractor fan which is extremely noisy.
During the lovely warm weather we have been leaving the back door open, which led to an incident last night when a very large tabby cat chased Kiki inside. The door was only slightly open and in its panic on seeing me, the cat practically levitated several times in an attempt to get through the window. Then it raced into the kitchen as i approached to open the door wider. After some confusion the cat left at speed and disappeared, presumably gone back next door, but poor Kiki was very frightened and had retreated to the second floor. Am not sure she will ever be safe from other cats here, but she is learning about traffic and is very cautious about going out the front.

Good morning@SlimLizzzy. Your comments about your kitchen reminded me of our experience last year when we had visitors from USA. They originally told us they would be coming in July. Our inherited kitchen was very dated. The oven stopped working altogether and the microwave intermittently tripped the electrics so we ordered a new kitchen. In plenty of time or so we thought! Meanwhile we had a message to say they had booked the fight for May! The kitchen was finished 2 days before they arrived so like you we spent a lot of time reading the manuals! Our old cookers had dials but the new ones were touch button! It was well worth it in the end and we are very pleased with the new set up now supplemented by a useful air fryer! Best wishes to you and Kiki. :)

Congratulations to Em on becoming a teenager today. She is blessed to have a grandmother like yourself - the epitome of faith with works despite the soreness and stiffness. Hug for the unpleasantness but massive winner for "putting in the hard yards" for The Team. I hope you can have/had a nice shower then relax/sleep in peace. Peace be with you and everyone reading this thread.
