This is the best its been for quite a while. Just takes so much willpower regards food consumption. I sometimes think my stomach overrules my brain. Its sure complicated.
I think you're right, but this link really helped me when considering IF and morning sugars - as I too get higher morning readings when I dabble with fasting: https://www.dietdoctor.com/the-dawn-phenomenon. "The Dawn Phenomenon, or higher blood sugars during fasting does not mean you are doing anything wrong. It’s a normal occurrence. It just means that you have more work to do."I agree that ones internal organs have chats without our knowledge. I think my brain has told my liver that I’m not intending to have breakfast so it’s dumped an exorbitant amount of glucose out there.
Can’t think of any other explanation
7.0 this morning!
Bah
@Granny_grump_ and @philchap1 according to Waitrose website, essential frozen raspberries have 4.9 gms carbs per 100 gms and 4.4 gms fibre hence my use of them with flaxseed (golden linseed) for the excellent movement properties! (A tip I picked up from here in 2015.) Morrisons has them @ 4.6 gms per 100 gms. Now planting long row of raspberries but strawberry bed is still going strong. 2 years running I have had fresh ones in October. Not as bad as some fruits, 40g of blueberries contain 6g of carbs, 80g of strawberries have 5g of carbs.

I'm reading that too - it's great isn't it? I've also pre-ordered his The Diabetes Code, out beginning of April (I sound like his pr team!).Thanks for taking the time to reply with this helpful link. Jason Fung is fast becoming my hero. I bought his book The Obesity Code recently: its fascinating reading.
I guess the answer is just to keep on keeping on and not try to overanalyse.
Just out of interest how long did it take all you lovely people with nice low fbgs to get there? I’ve been low carbing for a couple of months and hoped I’d be out of the water by now. Am I being unrealistic?
