What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Urghhh well this grey and drizzling morning reflects my horrid high of 7.4. but I had a Chinese last night. I made a bit of effort to have “better” options(chop suey, roast duck special- meat and veg- pancake roll and chicken balls) plus went for a walk after. But, my fellow bloodletters, I did not enjoy it as I would have previously! Have I re-educated my palate? Possibly. Hopefully. Anyhow I regretted it last night and regret it this morning. Will think twice next time. Ho hum, better results tomorrow I hope and better results for my supportive little gang I hope too. X

Good morning to everyone out there in the land of Diabetes.

This morning, at 6.20, Lady Vampira tasted my blood and told me of a miniscule improvement, as it is now 6.1.

Not much, but will take anything moving towards 5's.

Off to walk my dogs now, wishing you all the very best and hope you have super Saturday

5.6 this morning

I was expecting it to be higher as I broke my fast late last night, plus I had a rough night with acid reflux. Put that down to giving up omeprazole, a cruel mistress who doesn't take kindly to being dumped. Something else to solve

You are doing great Harrison in such a short time congratulations

6.9 at 8:08.
too High I know but self inflicted

My numbers are jumbing from one side to the other like King Wolmers ass as we Express this in Danish.

have a great weekend everybody !

maybe my Extreme mood swings have more to do with sucralose than very low carb diet, I need to find out , but for a shorter while I’ll again stick to lower moderate levels of carbs of the slow kinds and see if that is my road, I need to take Care of both mental stabillity and as low a blood glucose as normal, so for now I’ll be satisfied with a morning number between 5.5-6.0 mmol , todays 6.9 is far too high

Good morning Diabetes Massive. Woke later than usual so easily made my fasting time target. 3.9 this morning after 61 hrs fasted. It really does take something to beat @Goonergal at this fbg lark. @DJC3, hope the joke re wine didn't offend. Wet and horrible here today and I feel very cold just like I did when I started low carb so toodle pip old beans.

At 5.30 hypo 2.9
Lucozade drank then up to 3.5 then 4.6, then 5.1

Gone back to bed

Have a good weekend peeps

What a rubbish start to the weekend Cumberland, hope you feel ok when you wake up this time.

Freema I LOVE this expression! What’s the story behind it? I can relate to the sentiment though, take care of yourself.

My fbg this morning was 6.0
oh so nearly in the 5s

Didnt have wine last night as we had a curry, but did have a small brandy afterwards. Hmmm....

Good Lord no! Wasn’t offended in the least, I enjoy your banter, keep bantering.

I think all you fasters deserve a round of applause
it was a great effort and fascinating to watch. Hope you all have a lovely weekend with lots of delicious low carb grub.

Nice result!

@HarrisonK I used to take omeprazole 2 a day, dropped to one a day then one everyother day. I was told I'd have to keep takig it but reduce the frequency. The next drop will be every 2 days

@Hi Freema I don't have Ecxema but I do know about stress and sympathise with you, thinking about you and wish you all the best! K
