Good morning Diabetes Massive, 4.6 this morning which matches @Goonergal but since she had victoria sponge to celebrate the royal baby she is still Top Trumps. At @alf_Josiah Hehehehe ™, very worrying that you can only "Have a good day folks but that's in the lap of Mrs J." That is way TMI for early Sunday. I can only assume you watch ITV or some such abomination!
Enjoy your breakfast @Cumberland can’t beat a full English.
@ianpspurs I’ve only just noticed your replies from yesterday where you wrote in’young persons speak’. Couldn’t understand a word of it
Much better to go French. Australians are far too tannic for me. Don't worry about 6.6 @DJC3, the next bottle will give better results.6.6 bit disappointing.
Had Merlot but it was an Aussie one and tasted a bit sweet so I didn’t drink much of it. Got a bog standard Cote de Rhone today, should be dryer.
@Cumberland and @karen8967 hope you are both feeling ok now and it won’t spoil your day.
@geefull You consistently turn in really good numbers. The food and lifestyle you describe is almost identical to how I want to be able to produce similar results. I seem to need additional exercise via weights and HIIT and far fewer carbs than you. Fasting and very low carb don't seem sustainable into the 70s and 80s. Yours is the most sustainable and sane method of dealing with this condition I have seen outlined on here. Obviously, we all have different "baggage" from previous lifestyle so we need to tailor make our own solutions. Thanks for your posts, you have given support for my ambition that where I want to get to is attainable. Have a great day and enjoy your lunch - I will pick/cut/pull some of our rhubarb and have a similar dessert now - almost unheard of for me having a dessert!good morning all
4.3 today
lovely sunny morning here which is nicemay get a bit of raking up in the garden done today and, if we're feeling energetic (and heathen), also a bit of strimming.
Making a lowish carb. bolognaise type thing today (with tomato and full fat cream cheese in the sauce ), pasta for mum, cauli for me and a mix of pasta and cauli for mr. gee. Rhubarb and greek yoghurt for afters.
I'm amazed how my tastes have changed, rhubarb with only a touch of sweetener added today, if anyone had told me when I started LCHF that I would find almost unsweetened rhubarb enjoyable I wouldn't have believed them
I'm going to pull some for supper. Thanks for the reminder @geefullgood morning all

Steak and salad are my go to/default options when eating away from home seems like the easiest and most widely available option. Seems to be supported by some science cf5.7 today. On my feet allday yesterday, clocked up 16k steps. 2 meals and a snack. But the chicken stirfry in the hotel was probably laced with sugar. 7mmol at 11pm. Need a different option when working away, steak and salad me thinks. Bring my own dressing. Fog is lifting here...will get my walk in...cheers.

Good morning everyone
5.3 this morning and I have been in the 5 range for several days now, so am thrilled!
This morning I decided to skip breakfast for the first time, and now I'm wondering if that was wise
with being on Metformin? I just have the one tablet (used to be three) but it's always with breakfast.
Will it mess up my system to not have that until lunchtime?
Would appreciate some advice
Hi ziggy. Well as it's only a couple of hours now until I eat at lunch then I thought of having the Metformin with lunch .... so will this throw my system out?Hi @Mal37,
When I was still on metformin, having no food with it never seemed to be a problem. I believe this recommendation stems from the fact, that some people can experience an upset stomach when taking metformin -- and food might aleviate this to some extent.
Thank youHi @Mal37,
Would be surprised if it did. Metformin tends to build up slowly in our system over a matter of several weeks. So, it shouldn't make a difference if you took your dose a couple of hours later. That's at least my understanding of the way metformin works.
