What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning :)

8.5 A little dissapointed to be honest, although if my expectations have gone up, that must mean I am doing better in general,

This is a good thread, just writing the above sentance made me feel more positive hehe

Have a great day!

5.5 today (that's 2 days creeping up) As an fbg not too bad - not great and would probably put me on course to be above mean hba1c - but where it goes in 2-3 hrs time won't please me one bit. I am a little "hemmed in" ATM for dealing with all this and feel I am being impacted by some really poor choices by Julie's family. I have a caustic tongue at times so posting here may stop me from giving people a volley.:angelic:

Morning...I have the worse neighbours ever...last night they arrived bearing home made chocolate cake & Prosecco...what could I do?...so two glasses of Prosecco...lots of laughing & a slice of home made chocolate cake covered with Cadburys flake & double decker pieces I managed to regain my control & refuse further offerings...woke to an undeserved relieving 6.2

On the one hand, what friendly neighbours. On the other hand as I get older I see why I so much liked Robert Frost at school - good fences make good neighbours. Your problems aren't with errant livestock just errant chocolate.:)

Oh bless them! But you had no choice, you can’t refuse in that situation. Fbg pretty good so all’s well.

6.0 is an acceptable but unexciting start to the day.
Had a little jog last night to unstiffen my legs after the weekend race - just a gentle pace. Was struck by how early it is getting dark which means I can’t run on my favourite canal towpaths and footpaths through the woods. Instead I have to take on the pavements and traffic.
Roll on spring.

Hope you have a better day than anticipated.

It is a good thread. I find it habit forming and a place I can be completely honest about the state of my T2 and how I feel about it; everyone is so helpful and supportive. An 8.5 would leave me disappointed as well - hope you get back the control you were aiming for.

Morning all a very surprising 13.2 so I am officially on the unpredictability train!! unless I am starting with a cold, I get one at this time every year, which will explain the high readings. So it's now time to play catch up! On a good note though no hypo last night!!

Take care everyone.

good morning all :)

4.2 today

a successful bit of shed tidying at mum's yesterday followed by a trip to the recycling depot with some metal scrap plus we had some bits of an old broken wooden chest of drawers that had been used for tools so we raked some dry leaves and had a merry little blaze ;) still lots of leaves to fall and lots to rake.

It wasn't nearly so windy at mum's and for the first time in weeks the grass was dryish so I rolled out the mower and managed to cut a couple of areas. Some longer bits were too wet though.
Result happy but knackered geeful :)

Planning on having a day off today and treating ourselves to lunch out.

Hope your day is going well :)

Amazing how satisfying getting to grips with those 'jobs' we need to do is...gives us a sense of accomplishment...frustratingly I am still pondering the ever growing list of things to do here...I'm sure I'll get round to them soon:banghead:
