What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. Quiet Sunday morning after a very stormy night . I think this is the first time I've ever found myself posting before others .... 5.4 reading at 6am after quite a boozy Saturday night with the first pudding I've eaten for a very long time. Panacotta , with stevia instead of sugar for sweetness. The creamy blend of vanilla and sweetness is FAB...

Yes you can it’s just finer and more expensive in UK so many of us use ground almonds although I’m going to have a go at my own almond flour for a different recipe that needs the finer stuff ( some crackers) by grinding some balanced almonds as flour should be skin free! Ground almonds it all the almonds. Hope you enjoy
 
Good morning folks, got a 6.0 on the testing dice, that was after an 8.8 and a 6.7 all one after another, I'm settling for the six as I'm getting low on strips, but I felt that if I went on testing then I could well get into the fours, maybe I need a new hamster for my meter.
 
Morning...what a difference a day makes...no more driving freezing rain today...admittedly it is still incredibly cold however the skies are blue & the sun is out...hmmn this coffee tastes good...woke to a 5.3

Well insomnia has hit awful this weekend. Didn’t go to to bed till 5.45 this morning and had drank both tea during the night and then a mug of cocoa not long before this as one gland is my neck is the size of a small golf ball and hot drinks are the only thing that seem to relieve the pain. So BG at 7.45 am when I got back up was 4.7 - less of a FBG, more of a 2hr post cocoa BG
One of those days where I need my duvet on the sofa with trashy tv so I can wallow in self pity. Instead a day of father in law for lunch and then a kids birthday party
To attend this afternoon. Oh the joy!

@shelley262 thanks so much. Because I am a technophobe I record my meter readings in a desk diary so am never sure what sort of result to expect any more than numbers were lower in the summer. I havent changed my eating habits.
@Emma_369 hugs for the lurgy and especially the busy day you have. Hope its all done and dusted before next weekend.
