What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

@OrsonKartt once all work is done but splitting logs beats the lot.
Long post but I do agree with the deconstruct and analyse approach - that is January's aim.
As soon as I get the extension built I'll put the gym , sauna and swimming pool in............ (dreams)

great price for gym membership and I assume you walk. The fees are one thing but the faff of driving to and from is too much.

Yes, I do walk - would be impossible to park even if I had a driving licence. It’s a decent length brisk walk which serves as part of the warm up: there by quickest route and back the scenic route along the river = 6.4k steps, so also sets me up for a decent step count.

@Goonergal that is a fantastic price fot a gym - even here in the sticks it’s £34 and only open 6-10.

It’s brilliant!

Good morning all,
4.6 for me.

I did my weekly weigh in as well. I lost another 2.4 lbs (1.09 kg) this past week.

With this loss, I'm finally under 200 lbs at 197.8 lbs (89.72) for the first time in over 32 years :)

My total loss so far is 75.79 lbs (34.38 kg) or 5 stone 5.79 My BMI has gone from 48.0 to 34.0

Fantastic!

I have always until recently lived by the sea it's what I miss the most now being in the midlands when I lived in Plymouth had the Sea or Dartmoor to choose from every day of the week could walk on a beach in the morning and treck Dartmoor in the afternoon or evening or visa versa.

You remind me of Hilaire Belloc and one of my favorite poems. "When I am living in the midlands ..." and the dream of a house "within a walk of the sea."

@Goonergal that field looks like a lovely location for a photo shoot.

"WHEN I am living in the Midlands
That are sodden and unkind,
I light my lamp in the evening:
My work is left behind;
And the great hills of the South Country
Come back into my mind.
The great hills of the South Country
They stand along the sea;
And it's there walking in the high woods
That I could wish to be,
And the men that were boys when I was a boy
Walking along with me."

Trump must be beaten at the polls not kicked out IMHO. My wishes are that myself and their other grandparents can continue to shield our grandchildren from the whatsit shower that is UK PLC .

@JohnEGreen that's the one.

I never come on a belt of sand
But my home is there ...
...
I will hold my house in the high wood
Within a walk of the sea ...

I hope the night will bring you good sleep and untroubled dreams and in the morning you will feed very good.

@Goonergal thanks for explanation and the link. What a great story.

Morning all. Managing a bit longer in bed while off work. Up to a 5.2 this morning. Unfortunately need to be off to the doctor as the joint pain in my hand is getting worse and starting to affect my grip. I’m too young for that and ibuprofen is making not a jot of difference so the lottery of trying to get an on the day appointment with the doc it must be.

Wishing everyone a very happy new year!
