What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning...Christmas day Boxing day & my birthday all in the same week this celebrating is exhausting...I have enjoyed every minute of it now its time to exercise some restraint...not prepared to think about how many carbs or calories I have consumed in the last seven days...frankly I have no idea...off to the anti-coagulant clinic this morning...a sobering thought...woke to a 6.1

Morning All. 5.9 at 0730. A glorious return of the 5s even if only just. Me and PenguinDad are going to the coast today for a good old walk. My wishes for 2019 is that everyone I love is healthy, safe and happy. I send the same wishes to you all and thank you for the first year of helping me to stay cheerful and for all your support.
Blessings for 2019 everyone. Happy new year

Morning all. Quick test today @ 6.1. Weight where it was Dec 14th so a draw overall between me and the last few weeks. Pretty sure all will be fine by June blood letting so all good.
@Bubbsie belated happy birthday for 29th; @PenguinMum and dad, enjoy the coast; @Goonergal sorry to hear about grip issues and hope you get an appointment pronto. Anyone celebrating, have a great time if not have an amazing day anyway.

Morning all. Managing a bit longer in bed while off work. Up to a 5.2 this morning. Unfortunately need to be off to the doctor as the joint pain in my hand is getting worse and starting to affect my grip. I’m too young for that and ibuprofen is making not a jot of difference so the lottery of trying to get an on the day appointment with the doc it must be.

Wishing everyone a very happy new year!
Hope you feel better soon

Goonergal :Wishing you well with this . I have a similar although not so severe issue. I am hoping its not diet related, from everything I read this is unlikely . For me its My left hand thumb joint . Fingers crossed the doctor knows something you dont !

@ianpspurs @philchap1 @OrsonKartt @DJC3 @shelley262 Thanks. Appointment secured for 11.20am. My internet browsing suggests trigger finger in both right thumb and right index finger. Let’s see what the doc says.

Editing to say edited to add @shelley262 - just in case anyone thought I was clairvoyant and knew what she was about to post.

Happy New Year’s Eve all
5.8 this morning but sure it will fall back to my normal level soon now that I’m working on my stress management again.
Enjoyed my forest bathing - avatar taken in the forest by pond with sun peeping through trees and giving reflections on the water.
@Goonergal good luck at drs hope they can help.
@Bubbsie sorry missed your birthday but sounds like you put in some serious celebratory work over the week - sounds like a good week. Mums birthday is between Christmas and new year and can get pushed to one side so made an effort this year to party and mark it.
To everyone on this thread wishing you a wonderful, peaceful and healthy 2019 and hope you enjoy celebrating seeing the old year out and the new one in.

Hi @AngiH

Welcome to fight club...:D

Sure others will say more, but for me inside a window of 4-6.9..is where i want to be.
6+..is good
5+ is better..
4+ is olympic..(i think)..but it is all about keeping the blood sugar levels LOWER then they could be.

If the number is OVER 7 then it just means i need to adjust WHAT i have eaten OR how much of it i ate.
(portion control or as a chinese waiter once told me.., "eyes to big for belly"...LoL)
