What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

good morning all

4.9 today

feeling a bit tired and yucky this morning, hopefully nothing in the nasty bug heading my way
Off out to the charity shop today so exercise will have to be mainly stair climbing until I get home, (the stockroom and loo are both upstairs ).

Hope your day treats you kindly

Good morning all.

Thanks so much for your well wishes, @PenguinMum, @Goonergal and @DJC3. Had hoped my cold would pass quickly, but no such luck. Will feel better, once my congestion and runny nose improves. Have an appointment with my GP in an hour, so that he can give me a sick note for my employer.

How's your cold, @DJC3? Sounds pretty bad, too. Hope you'll get through the worst of it soon.
@johnpol, @philchap1 and @karen8967 -- Hugs for the hypos.
@Emma_369 -- Sorry to read about your headache yesterday. Are you feeling a bit better now?
@JohnEGreen -- This is still a good HbA1c result -- in my view. Probably due to steroid-induced higher bg levels about a month ago. Lately your fasting levels have been excellent, sure that this would show in a much lower HbA1c if you were to have one in a month's time.
@Debandez and @xfieldok -- Very well done on your presentations. Every person you can help is a wonderful achievement.

Also, interesting discussion and information on painkillers. Thanks for the info on this, @Chronicle_Cat, @JohnEGreen, @SaskiaKC and @DJC3.

On a positive note, blood sugars were much lower today at 4.9.

Have a wonderful start into the weekend everyone.

Morning All. 5.7 this morning. A lot of you under the weather I see.
@DJC3 and @ziggy_w if this sounds like the coldvirus I had a few weeks ago though it varies from person to person. It is nasty. My car didnt leave the drive for 8 days. Try and rest and keep the paracetemol and fluids going.
@johnpol @karen8967 and @philchap1 those hypos sound awful, hugs to you all.
@Debandez and @xfieldok great job you are doing.
Everyone have a good Friday and take care.

Bore da, happy St David's Day, Bon weekend, welcome to the first day of meteorological spring. Gosh, the day is busy already.
A 5.5 on the wonder wheel of lucky stabs at 0715.

@HarrisonK, I also had a thick cut steak with butter, mushrooms, onion and also cream and booze....
So, looking at my monitor I think if I did finger pricks instead of having a Libre it would go like this;
0700 - 5.0
0715 - 5.5
0750 - 6.2
0830 - 5.8
Point is, a finger prick test is a bit part in a blood splattered game of Russian roulette, directed by Quentin Tarantino and to the sound track of Kill Bill III. I know that you knew that but it’s all that there is on the movie channel.
Have a great day if you can.

Morning all, yep its Friday. As a self employed person that doesn't mean much to me but I do like the week ends cos its quiet and I can get on with stuff without having my thoughts disturbed. Thoughts go out to all of you's that are a bit under the weather , hopefully the sunshine will reappear soon. I'm a 5.2 this morning.

Maybe I should have had a tipple as well

As you and @ianpspurs said, I know better than take umbrage at one reading, and the Tarantino reference is funny as I watched Kill Bill 2 again last week. I'm off for a 3-mile walk, maybe that will sort me out.

Have a great day

Morning all it's only bloody Friday!! A 3.6 greeted me today, in total I have had 11 hypos and haven't gotten above 5 all week. Which means for the first time in 15yrs I've been on the sick due to my diabetes, to say I'm annoyed is an understatement, but hopefully I'll be able to get back to work next week. Enjoy the weekend everyone because I will (in between the hypos)

Take care everyone
