What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning all. Fasting blood sugars yesterday and today were both 4.3.

Thanks for all the advice re colonoscopy, @DJC3, @SaskiaKC, @Traceymac23, @PenguinMum, and @Chronicle_Cat. I'm not so much worried about the procedure itself, just about the anxiety involved. All types of medical tests make me anxious and it takes me about two weeks thereafter to become more even-keeled again, so I do have to space them out a bit.
@Chronicle_Cat -- You are winner for being so proactive about this and I am sure this is not always easy. With colon cancer, there seems to be a strong genetic component also?
@Mauser792 -- Welcome to the thread. Re healthy eating -- the diet suggested by health professionals is not always the healthiest diet for T2s (prediabetics included), many of us eat low-carb to get better control of our blood sugars.

Good morning all, 5.7 for me today and feeling positive. Have a good weekend all, I'm off to the travel agents to pay for our holiday in 12 weeks time to Gran Canaria...sunshine and relaxing
 
Good Morening Ladies and Gentlemen and all who are slightly disgruntled this morning.
Sorry no blood sugar reading this morning, my system is still all to c.o.c.k.

Well folks there I was sitting in the hospital waiting room naked apart from the NHS backwards facing gown, my bottom hanging out. When the consultant comes and sits beside me and starts to explain why my very minor procedure is being cancel at the very last moment and would I like to come back next Wednesday!!!!

A power cut to all the hospital operating theatres was the given reason. Yes I understand about back up generators and ups's, it appears the electrical maintenance department don't.
So that's another 36 hours of fasting, not taking my full range of anti rejection drugs and messing up my diabetic and warfarin levels.
Sod it, I'm going to wear my traffic wardens uniform and issue fake parking tickets in the staff carpark at the hospital....their I feel better now.

Shove orf stop reading this rubbish and have a good day folks.
 
Morning All. 6.8 to round off a bad week. Next Mon onwards going to try 16:8 IF and see how it goes.
@P1ckle hope your Dad is ok, all that worry is enough to send your BG up.

@alf_Josiah I am really sorry...what a carry on.....you wonder if the Electrician went on a long break before it occurred to him to report the state of affairs. Try and stay cheerful but its just not fair!

4.9 today

it's looking a bit damp this morning but at least it's not too cold
We may go out shopping today and then for a walk, mum is making Sunday dinner this week, I'm just making the puddings so not such a big shopping list today

Eclectic mix of posts here this morning running a gamut from hallelujahs from @ziggy_w and @OrsonKartt with sparkling low numbers to @alf_Josiah and the tribulations of cancelled operations and @P1ckle's worries re dad (my instinct is your fbg is lower than of late). In between there is our ro(a)ving reporter in Goa and @Traceymac23 with a very respectable score for all the hospitalisation. @PenguinMum take the IF steady and @karen8967 low slipped in there without us noticing - hope that is sorted now. Finally, the USA now has The Donald and The @dunelm to deal with - it never rains but it pours, eh?

Taking it well then....personally I'd issue tickets wearing the very fashionable 'arris out' gown.....they're all the rage on the catwalks of Milan.

Seriously though......that is frustrating!
