Morning everyone, 5.8 for me.
Being type 2 I have no excuse really because I know they elevate my BG therefore I should avoid them.:-(
Yet another one in the 7's with a 7.3

Im type 1 and should avoid them the way they spike me but i cant resist
So difficult when they just throw themselves at you.
Yeah I had a couple throw themselves into the roasting tray when I cooked a chicken yesterday.

I am so much into swede chips done in duck fat at the moment.

Yes. If you prepare chips like me and simply add fat to a pan and fry in the old fashioned way. I think the frying works better if you chip the swede and cook it first. You are just browning then not waiting for the swede to cook through. I also cut the chips quite thin like American fries. You do get a slight taste of swede but I don't mind that as they are a lot less carbs than potatoes. Even OH likes them. Personal choice I find duck fat gives the better taste although I have also tried with coconut oil and this is ok too. Tried celeriac chips as an alternative they are edible but wouldn't be my first preference. I put them in a bowl with olive oil then sprinke spices or onion or garlic powder on maybe add the odd herbs toss em about a bit chuck em in an air fryer and cook em or sometimes on a baking tray in the oven you can cut them into cubes as well.

5.5 at 7:19 Now is it that getting up later helps in that DP has passed and nearly gone or could it have been the Gin and Tonic I had yesterday evening; may need to repeat the experiment to find out!
