What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.4 today. I celebrated with a long session at swimming pool
 
13.4 and after 4 units of Novorapid and B'fast 11.4 I have had diabetes type 1 for over 4 years and it's still a mystery to me. Fist few years were much easier to handle my values but now I am just fed up.

Btw I did not eat since 18h last night and my sugar was 10 before going to bed... this makes me so cranky and frustrated.
 
@nevenaves it does have a way of throwing curveballs at us. I’m almost 1 year in and still trying to hit what seems to be a rapidly moving target sometimes.

FBG 8.5 this morning. Grumbles naughty words into coffee after thinking I had it right with an in range before bed BGL.

Thanks Ian. Now feels like a chest infection, gave up trying to sleep at 05.30 and headed for the sofa and tea. FBG then was 8.2 so I have decided to stop testing for a few days. Happy Wednesday everyone.

Sometimes all testing does is remind one that illness/stress/the weather etc mess with bg and no amount of tweaking diet will solve that so best to take a break. @Pipp I genuinely think that is on topic.

Mine today, is 5.8.
