What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Valid question, @valann :)
Testing late does make a difference to me, and some others. It is known as Dawn Phenomenon.

Though I suppose if it averages out over the day I ought not to worry too much.
I am more of a night owl than a lark, so do find BG continues to rise until I eat something. Conundrum for me is that I don’t like to eat early. I quick cup of coffee with a teaspoonful of cream tends to lower the BG . I guess I ought to keep a kettle and a fridge next to the bed.:D

Thank you Pip, I have seen Dawn Phenomenon mentioned on the forum but didn't know what it was. I really didn't know the time of day could make a difference. I shall try testing earlier and again later to see if it affects me. So thanks again Pip x

7.0 this morning. Head scratching as had a good day yesterday very low carbs wise .

6.6 this morning with very little sleep and naughty crackers last night, so was expecting it to be horrendous as it was 8.9 after the crackers. Highest its been for ages. Will see what it is later ;)

Morning All.

FBG 7.6 today.

Been alittle while since I’ve posted and tbh my fasting numbers have been rather rubbish in the 9s the last week. Through out the day i’m back in target but then before bed i’m above target again and the usual correction seems to have little/no effect by morning.

Bit of a head scratching moment for me almost up to my first year since diagnosis. Possibly body fighting a cold/virus or DP. More investigation required.

Sorry for breaking the “with some chat”.

Been too busy to post.
Nothing to see here, 6.3 yesterday and today, which I think that makes 4 consecutive days. I even checked twice this morning using different meters, in case one was stuck. Still 6.3 . Not complaining.:)

Sorry for breaking the “with some chat”.
No need to apologise. You can say what you feel. No judgments here.

Sure, but you are staying with the hard stuff: Diet, when it’s comfortable for you and taken DATA points to register just where you’re at. I have to do the same, and a big “yes” to getting upset when my condition doesn’t respond the way I want it. Here’s the thing, just imagine IF you didn’t, if you didn’t collect DATA points and get a comfortable diet? You’re miles away from where you were - yeah?

Back in the 7's... 7.5 this morning . Disappointing I'm trying everything to get DP down ( last meal earlier , later , little or no carbs , more fat ) nothing seems to work so frustrating as day numbers are good and bed time numbers last few weeks are in 5's . At a loss . Rant over enjoy your day folks
