What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Good morning slept in longer this morning BG was 7.9
probably the half a pizza at Trafford Centre yesterday no choice no other cafe and blood glucose dropping unsteady and shaky. K It has just righted itself can do what I was trying to do now.Hurrah K

FBG was 4.9 on the meter this morning but that was influenced by a late-night night-cap. Bloods will hopefully sort themselves out later in the day or maybe tomorrow. Have a good day everyone

Are you referring to post on Little Chat or with some chat or both I and Newbies need this making clear i haven’t been on here for a long time and hadn’t remembered this rule, give a bit of leeway sometimes it’s accidental when posting a reply you get caught up answering a reply most times I’m unaware where I’m replying too. I sure I’m not on my own so what you’re saying is we must check where we are posting too every time we post or answer a message. Can see that going well if this is what you want can you simplify how we can check which page our answers are going to be posted on. Like many on here older people and just trying to figure this site out it’s really not the easiest to navigate especially if your new or come back to this site after years away.K

I always do I always do grizzly bear every thing in mind but when my fbg is in thr sevens it's difficult to remember.

It seems that some members are confused about the purpose of the fasting blood glucose threads. Unfortunately, this confusion is starting to get out of hand, and the threads are being derailed. To clarify, there are three fasting blood glucose threads. This is how they ought to be used:-

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)​

For people with T2 diabetes. Report your fasting level, maybe a short sentence about how you feel about it. Do not engage in lengthy conversations with others. The purpose is to report fasting level, so that ought to be the content of the post.

What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)​

For anyone to report fasting blood glucose, regardless of type of diabetes, a sentence or two, about how you feel. Perhaps you know the reason for your BG level. If so mention it. If you choose to make a supportive comment to another member, fine. Do so. Keep it short, and simple.

To keep threads on track, any deviation from the purpose of the thread will need to be edited, and any members continuing to derail will receive temporary thread bans.

The good news is that there is a perfect thread for those wanting a more social engagement with their blood glucose reports.

@Granny_grump_ thank you for the words of support. I have little trouble obtaining the 5s throughout the day its the FBG thats the hassle… usually due to that ****** of a rise from 3:00am.

The probable cause is your liver is getting rid of excess glucose especially if your blood glucose levels have been higher plus for how long it dumps it during the night. It’s called a liver dump It’s been a long time since I posted about this so check this out with an administrator on here or others to verify it all. K

Dawn Phenomenon (Liver Dump)

Dawn phenomenon is the term given to an increase in blood sugar in the morning caused by the bodys release of certain hormones. It is a relatively common phenomenon amongst diabetics.
