What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning BG..5.2.....It's Sunday... Treated myself to 2 slices of baguette fried in olive oil, 1 fried tomato and 4 rashers... Turned out not my best idea..BG jumped from 5.1 to 7.7 after 1.75 hours!!! Wont do that again!

7.8 - Slept on a 6.7, up a point overnight.
Since getting my my Libre 3 i have noticed that I always get some high spikes during the night, sometimes 2, then it settles down and goes up a bit on waking.

9.1! I think that is my highest ever fasting level. seconds later, different meter 8.0, and after another hour, still fasting, 5.7.
Have been following IF as in the Zoe reasearch. https://joinzoe.com/learn/covid-the-big-if-study reduced eating window to 6-7 hours most days. I don’t think I am a good advertisement for it.
Waiting for effect of steroids to settle, then will whack on a CGM , see if I can tolerate that and get some insight.
Never give up, never give in.
I went super strict IF for a three weeks 20/4, and my BG stayed at a reasonable level averaging 4.7 to 5.5... but then it dropped really low to 4.3, which panicked me a little, but it was fine. I then reduced my fasting window for the last week to 12 hours and my BG is staying between 5.5 and 6.5 with the odd high peak.. Going back to the longer IF and stricter no carbs for the next couple weeks, because i have not lost any weight worth mentioning for the last week or so.

My glucose is low because I'm just off an extended fast and, I guess, I'm still in the 're-feeding' stage.

Anyway, it was 3.7 this morning (and ketones 4.5).

I expect to see glucose rise and ketones subside as the week goes on and I incorporate more carbohydrates.
