What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Morning all. Bedtime 7.4. This morning after my shower, 10.2?????. I just don't understand that at all! That was a shock. I hadn't eaten or drunk anything so why so high?
Some people report that their bloods rise after a shower. I can't say mine does with a shower but I certainly see a rise on walking downstairs. Only lasts a couple of minutes but it is frustrating.

Morning All. 6.8 this morning which is a minor miracle after scampi, peas and a few chips at the pub yesterday. @RosemaryJackson take heart it will take a while to get down from Christmas but you will get there. @mojo37 so delighted for you woohoo @DEBBIESCOTT you probably still have some of that virus lurking so be kind to yourself. Thanks for all the camaraderie this year folks you are all superstars. Happy new year.

But surely that's just your body working as it should, moving glucose to the muscles when they are working and needing fuel?

Yep, fess-up time: a truly indulgent period has landed my in the post-apocalyptic realm of 9s and 10s. Who’d have thought, being a T2, would result in this? Who? It’s my disease/condition that’s what. So, starting ‘23 for me is going to be another nod to my requirements. NYs Resos? Nah, just again that determined, slow, measured climb back on the Wagon.

Did you see the London NY Eve Fireworks and that BBC’s coverage? Stunning!
