What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

6.5 on my backup meter which is usually two points less than my normal one, so better than yesterday. I went to the doctor today and although I haven't a throat infection, I do have an eye one so was prescribed antibiotic drops. The doctor also has taken some blood to test white blood cell count which can get dangerously low on long term use of Carbimazole .....

10.3 HELP!!! And I thought 8.9 yesterday was bad!! Not sure why I'm so high. Would too much cream do it?

I wouldn´t think so, but too much protein can do it more than the 0.8 grams pro kg body weight a day.

I would think if one in total eat much more calories in general than ones body needs it would be able to force up the blood glucose as maybe the blood will not be able to clear away the excess fat and all will take longer time if there is not enough capacity to welcome all the overload of food... on the other hand if one gets too little protein I think the body would try to break down ones tissue to use body-muscle as protein for more needed places in ones body... don ´t know if that process would raise blood glucose.... but maybe...

Very helpful. Many thanks Freema :). My level dropped to 6.4 after a five mile walk.
