What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Hello everyone
Been to hospital today I have been told it is skin cancer but not to worry has I won't die from it, I now have to go back on 23rd January for a second consultation,where they will assess it and give me a date for surgery Has I will have to go to theatre to have it removed,so at least I now know what it is though couldn't remember it's name,and I know I needn't worry that it will take my life? The rest I will hopefully find out after next consultation. The last time I had a lump removed it was non cancerous and was removed there and then and the biopsy was taken and I got the results fairly soon in around a couple of weeks in the post. Today it was very different the doctor was only able to tell me what it was and the rest is upto the next consultation and surgeon? But it looks like you have got me for a while yet and that's a huge relief! K
K ...wow...shocked... not what you or any of us here wanted to hear... so relieved it can be treated quickly & removed...I admire your stoicism...your positive approach...sending a huge hug...and all my best wishes (and Harrys of course).

Morning...up super early this morning...anti-coagulation clinic day...fingers crossed I get that magic number this morning...my INR numbers have been up & down the last couple of months...since an infection in October...all over the place...a good number means I can extend the time between appointments...that would be wonderful...woke to a 5.7 this morning...trying a little experiment...intermittent fasting...versus...the snack before bedtime...Monday ate before bedtime...up the next day to 4.8...last night nothing before bed...up to the 5.7...could of course be the appointment...always a little anxiety when I have those...we shall see...thank goodness for testing...such a valuable resource:).

Wake up with an eye opening 9.7:banghead: in the morning, even double checked with another meter.I wonder why suddenly get worst.

Sometimes one knows very well why BG is not so good. Sometimes one has no idea at all. It all goes to show that the human body is an extremely complex organism. There is far more we do not know than what we do know is how I would sum things up.

@Granny_grump hugs and glad it's treatable x
@Bubbsie hope your inr is in the right range x

Me - 7.6 this morning but pizza and biscuits did that but I plead mitigating circumstances - I'm 53 and still having 'that time of the month'!
Know what you mean my daughter is similar age and going through same thing,your doing ok just get back into it has you feel able,and don't try doing it all in a hurry it does take time to adjust to it all! K Good luck

Hi everyone BG all yesterday never moved out of the 5s even went to bed on a 4.9 just one blip after evening meal beef casserole with lots of veg. But I had a fresh baked roll with it so I know what pushed it up it went to 10.9 2 hours later. Then plummeted to a 4.9 before bed.
