You can buy it from many places such as Holland and Barrett but we buy it from Amazon via Bulk Powder, As for what it is
inulins are a group of naturally occurring polysaccharides produced by many types of plants, industrially most often extracted from chicory. The inulins belong to a class of dietary fibers known as fructans
Or a white powder - no, not Columbian marching powder - with, allegedly, all sorts of health benefits. We use it to make toffee/caramel sauce and when mixed with flaxseed it makes a near digestive biscuit effect. Mix with butter and cook in oven for a biscuit like of flapjack like foodstuff.

Well I breathe and learn! I thought it mightbe so something just for one dish but it sounds useful. Btw dont know know if you saw my reply to toms/onions/garlic but I think I would be more relaxed about that than fruit for crumble....but what do I know!

I put inulin in coffee regularly and always have a large jar of inulin and flxseed mixed. re the holy triumvirate vs fruit crumble - the crumble would be once a year maybe but they would be every cooked meal if i had my way.

Yes I get that...I would go that way...blackberry and apple crumble is a thing of beauty but the “Holy Trinity” (never mind that latin) is much more useful.

Only fly in the ointment is Mrs P would eat crumble every week and the Holy Trinity very rarely. Add fresh basil to the trinity and I would be ecstatic.

Late posting as had to rush out as day puppy helping!
5.2 highish for me but happy with that - I’m very much in the maintenance frame of mind and that’s a figure that is within my happy parameters.
Dentist in am so stress levels and bgs may be raised! I’m not keen at all on the dentists! Mind you who is? Not needed treatment for years just the hygienist stuff but still always feel stressed about the thought of it!
@Freema welcome back sounds like a good holiday

Me too; dentist tomorrow. Filling for me. I don’t mind the dentist too much so not blaming it for my erratic BG today. Good luck.

Hello. After a rubbish day yesterday where I averaged 7.7 over six tests for no apparent reason and way above my trending average I begin today at 6.5.
I would normally be a bit disappointed with that but today I’m optimistic that it is a step back in the right direction.
