What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Think the 5.2 at around 3.40 could have been accurate but seems very high for 2 days with probably 40 gms carbs combined. Probably less than 11 hr sleep combined so that may be a factor. Seem to be fighting through a time of big doubts about LC and unusual readings. I want to come out the other side positive and helpful.
I have been there....In my own case I have a glucomen Lx2 meter that thoroughly messed with my head, until it occurred to me to crosscheck the value it was giving me with other meters.
Lo and behold, the blighter was testing at values of 1-1.5 mmol/l above other meters.
At some point I was quite obsessive - compulsive about it., testing with 4-5meters on one blood drop 'just to be sure'.

Last month (I can be slow on the uptake) It occurred to me to call Menarini diagnostics (The makers ) whereupon they told me they had discontinued that particular meter, and sent me an Areo2k, which to my great relief, gives a reading in line with all my other meters ( the Accu-chek Performa nano, frestyle optium neo, Contour next one. CareSens Dual)
As if the litany of woes for Lx2 regarding BG readings were not enough, it also low balls Ketone values.
When I crosscheck with the freestyle Optium neo, I get .5-1.8 higher ketone values than on the Glucomen Lx2 meter.
Too bad, I have a stock pile of the GlucomenLx2 Ketone strips, and It will be sept 2019 before I use them up...
I guess its OK. Its Ketones I'm testing for not BG. At least, now I know that meter can be quite stroppy

6.7 Sunday morning. The fog has lifted and the sun has come out (meteorogically more than metaphorically -- maybe the latter will apply after it warms up a bit so I can walk to the grocery store We are out of the good cat food and people salmon just doesn't cut it).

I am still thinking about your quote, @karen8967 . I like it and think it deserves some more of my time.

Glad you like it saskia x

Thanks to remission, you are now more insulin sensitive...well done.
I applaud your discipline, when I collide with food I love, I usually take the 'might as well be hung for a sheep as a lamb' approach.

Your tree is beeeeutiful.:singing:

I asked my DN for an insuling resistance test last week. She said she didn't know one existed. Guess that's a no then! Just testing the water myself. If more alcohol had been involved my discipline may well have been out the window! Joking aside, I really don't know where I've got this focus from. Never had it before my diagnosis! Long may it last! Thank you for the compliment on my tree. I'm sitting admiring it now watching Strictly on catch up. Couldn't be happier.

In my next life please can I be your cat.
I love salmon and would love it even more if I don't have to pay for it, and all I have to do is prove to my mummy that for me 'salmon cuts it':D

In my next life I wanted to be George Harrison's cat. Now I would like to be a barn cat. ^. .^

Maybe the fact that I resisted the temptation of an invitation to lunch at McDonald's today will help?

5.6 today which I’m happy with. Early night, lots of kip. Feeling good but legs a bit stiff after a 10 mile run yesterday up to and back from the UK’s tallest free standing structure (which is on top of a big hill).
Will catch up on the chat later but busy right now tweeting out my rage at the Diabetes UK- Britvic soul-selling deal. Lunacy.
You tell em!!!

Evening all. Very late posting today. Slept better last night but still up at 4.45am with a 5, which proved to be liver kicking in early as instead of my normal rise in the morning, was down to 4.8 on arrival at the gym about 90 minutes later. Hoping for a restful night tonight.

@Cumberland take care.
Good to hear you slept better last night. Hope you get another good night tonight.
