What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

5.1 this morning - late taking after starting to potter and getting distracted. Happy with that well within my maintenance figure.
@Debandez tree looks lovely we’ve got youngests dog next weekend and he’s still at chewing puppy stage so won’t be putting ours up until after his visit but want to put up before mum arrives! We have a real but small tree in a pot that we put in garden for rest of year and keep it going as long as we can, it started to go brown at edges in the hot summer but looks all green and bouncy again now so will do this Christmas
@ianpspurs enjoy your beef and your family day it sounds magical with Christmas train sets involvedwhat a lovely idea. You sound like you are having a testing time of it food and bg wise take care.
I’m working again today but will aim to take a walk at some stage too too many hours sat at PC not good for me but needs must.

A lie I till almost 9am (and I’m still the first one up in my house) - granted I didn’t go to bed till 4am but a solid 5 hours is a seriously good sleep for me.
4.4 greets me - best get the roast on the go. Off to go see a star is born again later. When a film is that good it needs another cinema trip!

5.6 today which I’m happy with. Early night, lots of kip. Feeling good but legs a bit stiff after a 10 mile run yesterday up to and back from the UK’s tallest free standing structure (which is on top of a big hill).
Will catch up on the chat later but busy right now tweeting out my rage at the Diabetes UK- Britvic soul-selling deal. Lunacy.

What a lovely thing to do with a tree. Enjoy your walk. It might not be quite as fresh as it is here on the coast.

Tree looks beautiful Deb. I feel you’ve now given me permission to get all Christmassy!
Out tree will look nothing like that as my granddaughters, being a little older than yours ( 6 and 8) insist on decorating mine themselves. Result is a tree that is 3/4 bare and has all the decs on about 2 lower branches that they can reach. Wouldn’t have it any other way though.
I'm sure our Willow will want to be in on the action when she sees how much fun it can be. But this year it's beautifully balanced out! My role is very important. When Eric has spent 3 hours putting tree together and dressing it I always have to move just one bauble and say 'yessss.... that's much better' ;)

good morning all :)

4.3 today

chilly but bright so far today, mum is doing a casserole for Sunday dinner so I just have to do myself a pudding today ;) Mocha sponge served with full fat greek yoghurt I think. Probably a walk with her little dog after lunch if it isn't too late in the day. We have a new light fitting to put up in the kitchen at mum's before dinner, an 'led' to replace the ageing fluorescent (flippin' heck, it took me three goes to get that word anything like right :(!).

Hope your day is a good one :)

Good day all
4.4 @ 06:10 at which point I promptly fell back asleep.
4.6 @ When I woke up to the Food Program on R4

BTW, the topic was interesting, maybe that's why my sleepy head finally woke up:playful::happy:
I need to find it on I-player.
They had an audience and a panel of Drs, dieticians etc were talking about the role of food in health.
I believe they also discussed the lack of adequate training for Drs in medical school when it comes to nutrition
Don't quote me on this o_O I was still in la-la land.
