What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

I prefer to visualize someone jumping in that garment rather than sweating in it. (Jumpers are called sweaters here in North America. What we call jumpers are a sleeveless dress usually worn with a blouse underneath, mostly by young girls, often seen in school uniforms.)

I have sorted mine they are both hanging in the wardrobe.

@Chronicle_Cat sometimes known as a pullover but over hear cardigans are not counted as sweaters.

I have known several jumpers that were too big and others that were too boring! :)

Actually I need to wear my favorite one with the wolf on it before the warm weather comes to stay.

I've also heard the term 'pullover' here but not for some time. I find terms evolve...no one under 60 here uses the term "chesterfield", it's all the American "couch" or "sofa" now. "Serviette" has also mostly disappeared, it's only called the American "napkin" ("Napkins" used to refer to sanitary napkins or baby diapers.) Canadian speech has become more Americanized in recent years although there are still regional differences - a "hoodie" (sweatshirt with a hood) is still called a "bunnyhug" in the Prairie provinces.

Actually cardigans (open ones with buttons or zippers) can be...it depends on the person.

It was wonderful just now walking to the grocery store and back. Out in the sunshine it was almost warm, and no wind blowing! I think it's about 13 degrees out there right now.

Talking of jumpers and sweaters, will someone please tell me what jerseys and guernseys are (the garments not the islands)? Here in the US "jersey" used to be used for what we now usually call sweatshirts so that is what I've pictured when reading English novels. But guernseys?

And what is a polo-neck, please? This is a polo shirt

America itself seems to be a country divided by a common language nowadays. I've known two meanings for "hack" but recently it seems to have an additional meaning. And "totes" -- I used to know what those were but now it's something different too.

IDK. I was getting pretty good at TextSpeak IMO, but IME no one uses it much anymore, which is a PTA (which will probably get asterisked here but used to mean something quite innocuous), but AFAIK TextSpeak is now dated.

And does anyone call a chesterfield a divan anymore? ;)

A guernsey is a jumper that originates from the island of Guernsey simple isn't it.

The picture above is a traditional Guernsey Jumper.
