What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

Loving how that all sounds...:hilarious:
god bless Eric..( and you for having such balls to go on back..lol )

i enjoy it when people just let go a little, have a little fun, and don't take themselves or life too seriously.
(hard to do sometimes, i know, but so liberating )

sounds like your having a great time....
hoping for many more posts..

Happy holiday.....

Today we are skipping hotel breaky. Lie in, then getting some serious steps in. Discovering everything on foot. Much prefer terre firma! That said I found being on the back of the scooter yesterday exhilarating! Feeling the wind on your face, great feeling. Stopping wherever you like to admire the view. Nothing like travelling under your own steam. Today I'm hoping to capture corralejo's beauty on my mobile so lots of pics to follow. And lunch at the harbour is on the menu which will be wonderful. It's a lovely place. Very quiet but expect that's down to the time of year.

Watch this space for more updates :-)

This made me laugh. When we were first married my first trip on the motorbike was to a very wet Cornwall. It rained all the way to Cornwall, the whole time we were there and all the way back. When we arrived home I got off the bike and said "never again'. So I also declared the bike Verboten - forever.

Oh dear, hope it was only declared Verboten for you.
Our children (they all ride) persuaded Mrs Miggins to take her test - she passed her CBT - declared never to ride anything with “those gear things” and bought a scooter.
6 months later it was sold and she went back to her 4WD stuff.
Very happy for her - and it means that I can still ride solo.

Morning All. 6.7 this morning after some good food, champagne and Lindt 90. Back on the horse today.
@Freema hope you feel better today.
@Po visit to Cromer and not eat crab? Love dressed crab me.
@Debandez sounds a lot of fun in Fuerta.
Have a brilliant BH Monday all. Theres another one in 2 weeks!
Greetings to all our friends stateside too.
Stay well, stay safe.
Love bank holidays.

Shhhhh! I am typing quietly so as not to wake the grandchildren.
The cleverly silent running wheel of tricks, laughter and disbelief has slowly and quietly revealed a hooded 5.6 (hooded so as not to shine too brightly).

It’s a bit overcast this morning over bills yard. I will be experimenting with public transport this morning using my Senior Railcard to get me to Newcastle Airport and then a hop and a skip over to Düsseldorf to meet a sister and our Mum who are both flying in from Bordeaux. We are off to visit a brother in the Netherlands for his birthday - hope my sister has booked a decent hire car.
Have a great day if you can, spice up your day reading Article 24 of the Schengen Visa Code if you can’t.

5.1 when I got up half an hour ago. Decided yesterday that I would cycle to work so dug the bike out from under the rubbish and boxes dumped in the garage, dusted it off - literally and spent another hour checking it over pumping up the tyres and then searching for the helmet. It is much cooler here this morning and I am regretting my rashness of yesterday! I will go through with it though. My "commute" is only 5 mins in the car and about 10 by bike. (There is a short cut on a bike path which knocks about 5 mins off the journey). Not sure how I will cope as I haven't ridden my bike for over 10 years.
I will hopefully live to post again tomorrow.

The Verboten is absolutely only for me. Husband still rides solo - only now it is only when the weather is good. He gets so much enjoyment from owning his Triumph Bonneville. I think he was secretly relieved that I didn't get on the bike again. I was so scared when the bike leaned over to go round corners I was leaning the other way.

Morning...fabulous bank holiday...the weather was unbelievable for this time of the year...managed to do some work in the garden in my efforts to reclaim it from Harry (who unfortunately insisted on helping).. how to do that is still in the planning stage...possibly a visit to the dump later this morning...woke to a majestic 6.6 this morning.

Morning all. Hope the Easter weather - in UK at least - was enjoyed by all apologies for reminding you if you had to work. BG was 5.2 when I tested around 7.20 after some double checking of scales so just possible it could have been lower. Scales showed BMI of 21.6 and 16.9% body fat - both PBs for me post 15/16 yo. FBG not PB - can be lower there. Following @alf_Josiah's points to @jjraak for newer members 2 points. My bg has been on a 4 year journey and I know the average so sometimes what seem fine readings can be vexatious (I would settle for that to be my HbA1c) . Also, those weight and body fat numbers nail the idea that weight and fat are all that explain T2. I am quite amused that my 16.9% body fat is in the "athlete" range when I am clearly ready for the glue factory. Enjoy your day.
