What was your fasting blood glucose? (with some chat)

So cleaned my finger as usual and got a 8.4 a bit of a shock as actually the highest reading ive gotten since I was diagnosed. Cleaned again rechecked on different fingers . 6.6 ,6.7 and a 7.4 . So what reading would you log as fbg. Why such a difference in range

The lowest and remember that blood circulation is dynamic and not homogeneous. normaly wash my hands with just water as some soaps can skew readings.
 
10.9 after a before bed of 5.3 (3 hours after last meal/bolus. I’m going to grumble for that one.

2 possible culprits
1. I did go out with friends yesterday and had a handful of beers through out the day so body might have got done with the alcohol finally and starting processing the carbs.
2. I did wake up sweaty so maybe the body had to self correct a low during the night.

Either way less then ideal! Hopefully that wasn’t too much chat for “with some chat”.
