I woke up this morning with a fbg of 7.4, the highest it’s ever been. It’s coming down now I’ve been awake for a while, is that normal? I’m usually around 5.8 I’m currently awaiting my diagnosis with the HbA1c test but given my glucose levels im pretty sure it’s going to come back as type 2 or pre diabetes at least. I’m scared to eat at all.

Please don’t despair. The fasting level is generally the last to be controlled.
